Chapter 254
Maja didn’t wake up right away this time, she was actually hit with a sharp pain in her belly. Her whole
body was cold, and her vision blurred. She knew her period hade
She’d been super busytely and had even slept in her wet clothes the whole night when she was in
Crystalbrook Valley, so this time she was in a world of pain. She hurt so much she felt like puking, but
she was in a hotel bookedst minute, so she only had a change of clothes with her, nothing else.
She was as pale as a ghost, and with trembling fingers the dialed the hotel reception, hoping someone
could bring her what she needed.
It was 6 in the morning, the hotel service wasn’t too shabby, and they quickly brought her the tampons
she needed
Maja, dragging her weary body, opened the door. The waiter saw her pale face, even her lips
bloodless, and he asked out of concern
“Do you need some painkillers?”
Maja had had cramps before. She’d have medication on hand, but all her meds were at RosenGarden
Yes…
She clutched her belly, looking like she could faint any second.
*Give me two pills, please.”
The waiter turned and left to get the medication.
But this was a hotel, it was unlikely they’d have such meds. The waiter had no choice but to go to a
nearby drugstore and when he returned to the top floor, he ran inton, who was on his way to the
office.
towards Maja’s room, and the slowed his
steps.
Only when Jeff called him, “Mr. Raymond?” did he finally step into the elevator.
Back in her room, Maja, with trembling hands, took the two pills. The pain in her belly was intense, her
whole body was covered in sweat, and she was shivering from the cold.
She couldn’t go to the hospital today, so she called Carol and asked her to go to the hospital for her.
Carol heard her weak voice. “Maja, are you okay?”
“I’m fine, Carol, could you go to the hospital and check on my dad for me? Cristina and others are
there, I just don’t feel right about it. Or could you send some of your bodyguards over? Once I’m better,
I’ll treat you to a meal.”
Carol got a bit pissed, “You just get some rest, okay? Stop worrying about things. You want to treat me
to a meal? Do you think I can’t afford food? I’ll send the bodyguards right away. Until you go to the
hospital, no one is allowed to visit your dad in the ICU, is that alright?”
Maja felt a warmth in her heart, her hand on her belly, “Alright.”
“Maja, your dad’s in serious condition, doesn’tn know? Are you really nning on keeping this from
him?”
“Carol, I want to get some sleep.”
Carol didn’t say anything else after that.
Maja was soaked in sweat, like she’d just been fished out of water. She endured the pain and got up,
took a shower, cleaned herself up, theny down on the bed. She didn’t dare to turn on the AC, even
wrapped herself up in a thin nket.
And like that, she slept until evening.
8 p.m.
subconsciously looked in Maja’s direction. His slender finger paused, but he didn’t say anything.
After his shower, he stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and had an overseas conference call.
After hanging up, the front desk called to ask if he needed anything. Since this room wasn’s private
room, there were people preparing meals for him every day. He came backte today, so someone
called to ask.
In a short while, a waiter pushing a dining cart came to the top floor and pushed the cart to Maja’s
door.
He knocked politely, but no one answered. After more than ten minutes, the front desk calledn again,
telling him no one answered the door
next door.

He headed towards the bedroom.
