    The weekend eventually arrived. Yara and Irwin, feeling sorry for Yvette, didn’t allow anyone


    to disturb her rest.


    Nancy’s call came in just as Yvette woke up. She was still zed with sleep, but her beauty was


    breathtaking nheless.


    She asked groggily, “What’s up, Nancy?”


    “Yvie, I slept with Jacob…”

    Yvette frowned. “Who told you Jacob has a girlfriend?” She could hear Nancy’s sadness over the


    phone.


    “I went to his office yesterday to tell him how I feel, but I saw him being very close with a woman.


    The employees there were also saying he has a girlfriend!”


    “Nancy, don’t just believe the rumors.” Yvetteforted her in a gentle but firm voice. “Jacob


    doesn’t have a girlfriend.”


    “Really?” Nancy let out a surprised gasp. Her sadness and disappointment vanished in an instant. A

    Nancy’s joy was short–lived as she recalled her earlier words to Jacob at the hotel. Her smile froze

    Jacob just texted me, asking if I know where you are. He’s really worried about you.” Hearing

    you lend me some money? I’ll pay you back as soon as I have the money!”
