Chapter 347


    Sofia’s pov


    “It had been so hard for me as well, it hurt me so much thzt I couldn’t be with you anymore.” I said to


    him in a small voice almost immediately.


    “I know, Sofia… I know. If you could, you wouldn’t have left me behind.” He puffed out a harsh breath.


    “It was still pretty hard for me, after you left, I sank into a really depressed state, but father didn’t


    understand, and mother was literally of no use, as usual. I was lost in my head, and the only outlet was


    getting better at what I was already practicing at hand.” He shot me a nce after that, and I watched


    his face crumble.


    “Don’t cry, Sofia. It wasn’t your fault.” He urged and that was when I realized that I had been silently


    crying. I hastily wiped my face. “I’m sorry, I just can’t help but feel like it’s my fault.”


    “It isn’t so bad anymore, I spend a lot of times with my friends and they keep me sane, i get to leave the


    house whenever I want because you know, I’m not a girl and can take care of myself just fine,” He


    exined and I nodded my head at him in understanding, that was a known fact here in the mafia that


    men and women are not treated equally.


    “I’m so d about that, I’m d you’re not in a bad ce anymore.” I murmured and he hummed in


    response, and then he corked his head.


    “I am too, but enough about me already, tell me about how you’ve been fairing.” He urged and I let out


    a small chuckle.


    “You know, the day after you got married off, I went ahead and confronted father and asked him why


    he’d sell you off like that.” He confessed and my mouth fell open in shock.


    “Angelo, why would you do that?!”


    “Because I was so hurt and angry and devastated. Father got so pissed, he beat me up and I got


    grounded. He kepting to me every night and kept reminding me that if I apologized to him, he was


    going to forgive me, but I refused, until he got tired and forgave me.” He spoke and my mouth fell open


    even more.


    “That’s really a lot Angelo, you shouldn’t have done that.” I whispered as I tightened my hold on his


    hand.

    “I did and I’m not sorry, I’d still do it again if I have to. Father doesn’t bother about beating me because


    he knew he’d just be wasting my time, instead, he’d take me to those underground fighting rings and


    pair me up with people way better than I am so they’d beat me up instead and make me lose before a


    lot of people.”


    “What? Why would he do that??” I demanded with my eyes still wide in shock.


    “To punish me. But that somehow backfired on him, you know? Because the more I got beaten up in


    those rings, the more I became better… and now, I’m the youngest most strongest person that fights


    there.” There was pride in his voice when he spoke this time and I felt an emotion swell really hugely in


    my chest, because it was obvious that this meant so much to him.


    “That’s really awesome, Angelo.” I cried out.


    “I know, right? Now, tell me about your own life.”


    “Well, there’s nothing much to tell…” I began to speak but he cut me off.


    “There can’t not be much to talk about, your husband was the one to arrange this meeting between us,


    which is quite surprising. Father didn’t even know why I had been surmouned, Mr Ri hadn’t informed


    him it was because of you, father and I thought he wanted to give me an order or something.” He


    pointed out.


    “Oh.”


    “Yeah, so..,?”


    I bit my bottom lip but a slime still managed to bloom on my cheeks. “Luca is amazing.” Was the only


    thing I said.


    Angelo hummed. “Clearly, I see that as well.”


    “You can’t tell anyone this, Angelo– but, he treats me so, so well.” I whispered in a low voice and I


    watched as something lightened on his face.


    “I won’t ask for any details, but I do want to know one thing… are you happy?”


    I nodded my head vigorously and squeezed his hand. “I am happy, very happy.”


    “That’s all I need to know, I’m d he’s treating you well. At least now I can sleep peacefully and not


    plot his death in my head anymore.”

    When Angelo had been about to leave, I made sure we exchanged phone numbers and social media


    handles, there’s no way I’d be separated from him again, and of course, I had cried when hugging him


    goodbye, and he had reassured me that now that we had each other’s contacts, we were definitely


    going to keep in touch.


    When Luca had arrived home that evening, and I hade down from the bedroom, I had climbed


    unto his thighs immediately to take his face in my smaller hands while blinking down at him. The


    happiness I was still feeling through my veins was very obvious on my face, and Luca lifted a brow at


    me.


    “You’re smiling, bunny.” He mused and I let out a small huff as I leaned down and pressed my lips


    against his. My chest was being overfilled with so much emotions at once and seeing Luca right now,


    made those feelings get more intense.


    When I deepened the kiss, one of Luca’s hands came around to hold my head down as he took control


    of the kiss in this position, and I whimpered into the kiss as I felt my toes curl into the couch as tremors


    rack through my body.


    Mewls and whimpers were building up in my throat and I was about to start moving over him, when I


    heard the faint sound of someone clearing their throat. It happened again and I was pulling out of the


    kiss to throw a nce around, and that was when I spotted Armani, who was looking at me with a


    raised brow that made my cheeks me up in an instant, and when Luca began to chuckle, I knew he


    was aware of Armani’s presence here unlike me.


    I buried my face in Luca’s shoulders in embarrassment and refused to lift it, until Luca got to his feet


    with me still in his arms, and then he headed upstairs, where he proceeded to thoroughly ravish me.
