Chapter 322


    Luca’s POV


    When we finally arrived in New York, Sofia was fast asleep– had just fallen asleep about an hour ago,


    which was why I had to carry her in my arms as I alighted the ne, her time panties stuffed deep


    inside my pocket. I knew she was going to pout sadly at me whenever she wakes up and realized that


    she didn’t get to take in how New York looked as she was alighting the ne, but I just couldn’t bring


    myself to wake up because of how peaceful she looked.


    A few cars were already waiting, I got into one in between the two car, which belonged to my guards.


    There was no way I clumd go anywhere without my guards, for protection, although now that we were


    all away from home, they were all going to be as de secret as possible in other not to draw any kind of


    attention towards Sofia and I. Sofia had clung to me after I had settled into the car, still fast asleep and I


    hadn’t been able to bring myself toy her on the chair in order to attend ti some important calls, and so


    I held her against me as the car drove to one of the numerous condos I owned here in New York. The


    condo had already been cleaned and stocked up yesterday for my arrival, and everywhere was sparkly


    clean when I head into the house with Sofia still in my arms.


    Iid her on the bed and pressed a kiss against her head and then I pulled the covers over her and left


    her to sleep, because she obviously still needed it.


    When I had been on the conference call, I hadn’t in my wildest dream thunk Sofia was going to be able


    to do what she had done, that it hadn’t even crossed my mind when she hade to stand before my


    table and wave at me, looking like the goddess of beauty herself. And she had done such a fantastic


    job at that thst had literally and figuratively taken my breath away, coupled with the fact that she barely


    have any gag reflex. Thinking about it alone made my dick twitch a little bit I ignored my dick because


    there was other important things that needed to be done.


    This house was currently being guarded by my guards desecretiveky because i undoubtedly have a


    whole lot of enemies here as well, I was very sure of that.


    I settled on the couch in the sitting room dialed Armani’s number. I wasn’tpletely okay with leaving


    him all alone in Italy, but I was really needed here in new York and there was no way I could note.

    James also reassured me that he was going to be watching after him, and I trusted James so much,


    which was why I was able to leave Armani there.


    He sounded really cheerful on the phone and asked me to extend his greeting to Sofia once she wakes


    up. His rtionship with Sofia was making me so damn pleased, because I wasn’t sure of how I would


    have felt if the both of them ended up not liking each other after their first nce.


    Once I was done, I ced a call at James’ number because I wanted to inform him that I had safely


    arrived here in New York, and to also give him a run down of the conference meeting which I had been


    in on the ne, before Sofia hade with that mouth of hers that got me distracted almost


    immediately. Of course I wasn’t going to tell that to James, because he was never going to let me hear


    the end of it.


    “Make sure to her some rest now that you’ve away from here,” James suggested and I only let out a


    snort. “You say that like I’m here on a vacation and not because of work.”


    “You can turn it into a vacation, that’s what I meant. We both know it’s a plus for you thzt you wife is


    there with you, you might as well make use of your time really well.” James continued and I knew that


    he was right.


    “We’ll see, I guess?” I finally responded and after a few more minutes, the call got ended and I allowed


    myself to finally rx a little. The condo interior was very stunning and ssy, and I regarded the whole


    ce for a couple of moments.


    It was almost night time here, thanks to the time zone difference, and I knew Sofia was going to be


    famished when she wake up. Because I knew the kitchen was already stock up, I decided to prepare a


    little something for us to eat tonight.


    If any of my men sees me right now, cooking for my wife so domestically, they were going to have an


    heart attack from shock, I mused to myself as I cracked eggs into a bowl. In no time, I was done with


    the dinner and went to wake Sofia up.


    Sofia woke up and didn’t want toe out of bed except I carried her, which I did because I loved


    carrying her around, and she knew that, which is why she always milks it.


    She ate a little of the dinner but drank all of her orange juice, and then I ran a bubble filled bath for her


    and scrubbed her skin tenderly while she dozed off in the tube. I dressed her in a light shirt of mine


    while she pouted up at me for a kiss, somehow, she had gone from sleeping in her nightwears to


    sleeping in different shirts of mine, and I wasn’tining one bit because I loved seeing her in my


    clothes, and watching it literally swallow her up.


    I chuckled at her and pressed a kiss to her jaw, and then I scooped her up and took her to the bedroom


    where Iid her in. She was still sleepy, but kept tugging my on shirt for a kiss but I pressed countless


    kisses all over her face until she was giggling beautifully.


    I showered after a few minutes and joined her, and she snuggled into me as she fell into a deep sleep.
