    Chapter 133

    Luca’s POV

I stepped out of the car as soon as the door got pulled open for me, by my driver. We just arrived at the

James car packed in a spot which was two cars away from where my car was currently parked.

I turned around until I was facing my driver once again, and I ced my hand on his shoulder and

pulled him closer, not missing the way his eyes widened a little in shock.

“You all can go to wherever you want to for now, just don’t go do something that’s going to take too

much time and would be hard for you to leave whenever you see my call, and also keep your phone

around you.” I paused and watched as his eyes widened even more in what I’d ssify as nothing but

shock, and I continued after a few moments.

“Even if I am going to be leaving the officeter in the day to go to any kind of meeting, it wouldn’t be

anytime soon, so you all can go do you thing. If you don’t receive any kind of call from me throughout

the day, requesting for your presence and service, then don’t expect me to call you toe over stouts

the time when I usually leave the office, understand?”

I watched as he started to nod his head immediately in reply, and i tugged my hand away from his

shoulder and stared at him for a moment more, before turning around and starting to walk towards the

entrance which was leading into the first floor of thepany, the fooor where the receptionists were

on, along with some other small offices, and the elevators.

    “Er, boss?”

I turned my head around after pausing on hearing my driver’s stuttering words.

“What time would you be leaving for home? Early orte?”

“I think early, I’d be leaving early.”

    ******

I made my way directly into my office, nodding at my secretaries who had all stood up in respect as

soon as I had made my way into their office, which I had to walk through, before I could get to mine. I

pulled my door open and got in, before shutting it quietly behind me,

I made my way towards my chair and sank into it, rising back to my feet almost immediately, as soon

as I remembered that I hadn''t taken off my suit jacket. Once I’ve taken it off and hung it over the back

of my chair, I sat back down and puffed out a sharp and deep breath.

    Let’s get to work then!

I started sorting through the long pile of files which were arranged on my desks, and a quick nce

around the right part of the office showed that there was also another pile of files which I was supposed

to sort through, stamp and ce my signature into.

I let out a low groan from the lowest part of my throat, how was I going to finish all these… and when?

This was one of the reasons why sometimes, I just sit and start to wonder why I just can’t be able to

teach one of my secretaries about how they could be able to draw my signature the exact way I do

mine, so it wouldn’t have to be only me who’d have to sort out through these stuff, pick out the ones

which I deemed unfit, and then finally approve of the ones which were good enough.

The only person whom I saw fit to even sort out those things was James, my best friend, but then he

couldn’t put in his signature in my ce, it had to be mine. So even if he ends up doing it, all he’s going

to be able to do, is to sort them out and put in thepany’s stamp, and I’d still have to end up putting

the finishing touches to everything… and the finishing touches was my signature.

I let out a small sigh as I started to sort out the pile of things on my table, taking out the bad ones in my

opinion, andying the good ones in a different spot on the table. It was a good thing that I had taken a

cup of coffee this morning back at home, before I had left for work, if not, I had no idea of how I’d have

been able to get to work immediately after my arrival to the office.

I’d have gotten James toe help me out if it was a normal day, but I had been leaving so much work

on James’ shoulders ofte and I didn’t like how it was somehow unfair to him. I had fallen sick and he

had taken over without any problem, and I had a feeling that his work which he was currently handling

was just as much as mine, if not more.

I continued to sort out the stuff carefully, and I had to read through every one of them, to avoid any kind

of mistake, which was why this part of the work took so much time.

I nced back at the pile of files which was positioned on the right side of the office and huffed out a

small sigh. I guess if I continue at the pace which I had started with, then I guess I’d be able to finish in

    two to three hours.

    ——-

I groaned and threw my head back against the back rest of the chair, a ragged breath leaving my

parted lips as I panted slowly, trying to breathe in more carbon dioxide into my lungs which were feeling

really empty st the very moment. I was finally done with the whole pile of files, and it did manage to

take over three hours… and I had done all that on an empty stomach, without any kind of food in my

body, except the cup of coffee which I was already sure hadpletely left my system along the way,

    as the hours flew by.

I pushed the chair back and pushed myself to my feet, groaning w little because my back hurts so

damn much, and I walked towards the window in the office and stood before it, staring out of it and

watching as the busy roads had cars spinning and driving fast left and right, with life happening at its

fastest pace, right there. I turned away from the window and made my way towards my table and

picked up the phone which was connected to the office of my secretaries, cing a call almost

immediately. It got answered fast and I ordered whoever it was that answered the phone toe into

the office toe get the files whigh I was done sorting, and ending the call before the person could

    even respond.

A knock sounded on the door and I gave permission for the person toe in after a moment. I

pointed towards the desk before ncing up at the only female in my three secretaries who had

probably been the one to have answered my call.

“There they are. Take them and reliever them out to their respective ces, and ensure that they all

have my signature before sending them out.” I said to her and watched as she murmured her reply

before walking forward into the office and packing the huge pile of files in her hand. She couldn’t get

everything and I walked towards her side and picked the rest of the files, cing them on top of the

files which were overfilling her arms at the moment.

“Thank you, sir.” She murmured and I nodded my head at her, watching as she stepped out of my office

and pushed the door closed with her feet. I walked back towards the window and stared out of it, as my

mind started to turn around in my head and mind.

First of all, I think I needed to get some food into my stomach.

I walked back towards my desk and sinked into the chair, and then I picked up my personal phone

which I had ced on top of the table, at the far end of it, some moments before I had started working

on those damn files. I tapped on James'' number and it started to ring after a few seconds. James

ended up answering on the second ring.

“Hey, man.” James’ voice poured into the phone immediately after he answered, and I snickered a little

    as I started to reply.

    “Yo, how are you?”

“Pretty good, I saw you when you got here.”

    “You did?” I asked.

“Yeah. I was standing at the window in my office when you got here.”

“Oh, that.” I paused for a few moments before continuing, my eyes moving around the roof of my office.

“I’m about to go get breakfast… care to join me?”

“Sure, I haven’t had a damn thing this morning as well.” He replied with a smallugh and I rolled my

    eyes a little, before continuing.

“I’ll meet you downstairs, let’s head over to the one which is just down the road, so we wouldn’t have to

start driving over to some other restaurant.” I said to him whine pushing myself to my feet and grabbing

    my suit jacket.

“Sure, man. I’ll meet you in a few minutes.”
