Chapter 2922
?
Outside the bar was a host of police vehicles, and from them, a group of Ariarican officers alighted.
Haskell and Erin led them to the entrance of the bar and pointed toward the inside. "Come. It''s this way."
Unexpectedly, the police sergeant stopped them both in their tracks. "All right. We''ll take over from here. Neither of you will be allowed to enter this premise anymore."
That took Haskell and Erin aback.
What left them even more bewildered was that the sergeant did not even attempt to enter the bar himself to investigate. Instead, he ordered his subordinates to have the bar cordoned off and then stand by to await further instructions.
A few minutester, two ck helicopters suddenly roared in.
As soon as the helicopters set themselves down, a team of ck-d personnel jumped off them.
These strapping men in ck were as cold and expressionless as the devil''s minions.
What was particrly noteworthy about every one of these ck-d individuals was the same triangle tattoo that adorned all of their necks. It seemed to mark them as members of a certain mysterious organization.
That team was led by a lean and tall, middle-aged brte man with keen eyes and a hooked nose. He looked to be someone who might be prettypetent in a fight.
d in a ck coat and holding a sk of whiskey in hand, the man reeked of alcohol like a hungover drunkard.
Haskell and Erin noticed that the man''s eyes were blue, and he bore the same ck triangle tattoo on his neck, just like the rest of those who were with him.
His arrival prompted the police sergeant to stand to attention straightaway. "Sir!"
Approaching with his subordinates in tow, Cerulean raised his sk and took two gulps from it before he waved the sergeant away. "This ce will now be under the jurisdiction of the Heavenly City Secret Service, so the rest of you may bugger off now."
"Understood!" replied the sergeant.Original from N?velDrama.Org.
Having been told to withdraw, Haskell and Erin had no choice but to leave.
Cerulean then said to his subordinates, "Comb this ce carefully. I want to know whether Garm has passed through here."
Behind him, his ck-d subordinates replied unanimously and in the affirmative, "Sir, yes sir!"
The men immediately got around to deploying their assortment of testing apparatuses and began their process of collecting samples from the floor of the scene, the soil, and off other objects. They even took note of the scents that still lingered in the surrounding air.
With his sk in hand, Cerulean made his way into the pub.

The scene of the bloodbath that greeted him had him frowning slightly. "Tsk, tsk. Quite a body count here, eh! What''s that? Corpses of vampires too? Hah! This is getting interesting. Could Garm have shed with the vampires and ughtered all of them?→ Fascinating!"
As he spoke, he treaded directly upon the trail of blood and bodies as he went along.
When he came up to the counter inside the bar, he casually bent over to dig out arge bottle of whiskey, which he used to top up the little metal sk he carried with him.
At that moment, one of his subordinates came over to report. "Sir, we''ve found traces of Garm''s presence at the scene. In addition, we have also discovered a number of humans and vampires from the scene who died by his hands."
Cerulean took a swig of alcohol and pointed an unsteady finger toward Niels'' body thatid not too far from him. "What the hell is that thing?"
"It''s the remains of a vampiric aristocrat. Should be a vampire earl as it looks like it had lived for at least several hundred years," his subordinate replied.
"Is Garm responsible for that too?" Cerulean asked.
His subordinate shook his head. "There''s no trace of Garm''s scent on the body. My guess is that it was killed by one of the other human fighters."
First taken aback, Cerulean then
broke into a smile. "This is most intriguing! I suppose that our Garm must have been following some powerful fighter around after he was broke out from the Ghost Ship''s cell. Not only that, it seems to me that he has gone on a killing spree right here alongside that individual, taking out humans and vampires alike." Content belongs to
"The person who stormed the Ghost Ship was Nathan Cross!" the ck-d subordinate added helpfully. "Could it be that Garm is now with Nathan and that Nathan has not managed to exit our borders yet?"
That put a smile on Cerulean''s lips. "We share the same conjecture, you and I. Garm, who we''ve been trying for a long time to tame but have yet to fully seed, must be with Nathan."
The subordinate appeared a little unnerved. "Could it be that Garm has chosen to follow Nathan as his master?"
"So what?" Cerulean replied
insouciantly. "Being the ones who trained Garm, we have hundreds of ways by which tomand him. The fact that Nathan is together with Garm makes things even better for us. Now, all we have to do is simply chase them down and issue Garm themand. Then, Garm will deal with Nathan for us. That would allow us to kill two birds with one stone." Content belongs to
“That''s brilliant thinking, Sir!” his subordinate quipped in delight.
Cerulean eyeballed his underling before he responded impassively, "You know, if I were you, I''d hurry along and do my damndest to track down Garm''s and Nathan''s whereabouts instead of standing around here trying to suck up to me!"
The ck-uniformed subordinate suddenly felt sweat beading on his forehead. "I''ll get on it right away!" he promptly said.
