Chapter 2885
After delegating the clean-up duties to Dip, Nathan led Colin and Kraven away, with Kerry tagging
along without a word.
Though Nathan noticed Kerry following them, he gave no sign that he did.
Nathan and his men then got into their car. Kerry stood timidly by and gazed at the closed doors,
seemingly at a loss on what to do.
Suddenly, the back window of the sedan wound down. “Would you like toe in for a chat?”
Nathan asked.
Kerry agreed at once before entering the vehicle excitedly.
She was already aware that the man before her was the famous God of War of Eurasia. When she
was searching for photos of him earlier, she had also identally discovered that he had be
the president of Eurasia.
Hence, she was not worried that Nathan would harm her.
Colin started driving after Kerry entered the car, and it cruised forward at a fair pace.
Kerry sat silently beside Nathan and appeared somewhat nervous.
“Are you really a member of the Cross family from Wildefield, East Eurasia?” Nathan asked.
“To answer your question, Mr. Cross,” Kerry hurriedly replied, “yes, I am.”
“In that case, you weren''t entirely boasting when you told them that you are my cousin,” Nathan
said.
Kerry blushed upon recalling her earlier boast and unttering words about Nathan and realized he
had overheard.
“Is your master Hermes Styles, the God of Thieves?”
“Yes,” Kerry answered truthfully. “I am his only disciple, and I''vee to Ariarica to search for him.”
Nathan was astonished. “Did something happen to him in Ariarica?”
“Several years ago, my master said that his good friend, Mr. Macmaster, had run into trouble in
Ariarica. He was captured by the Ariarican military and imprisoned on the Ghost Ship.
“My master said the Ghost Ship was a heavily fortified prison with many traps and was certain that
only his personal involvement afforded a sliver of hope to rescuing Mr. Macmaster.
“Unexpectedly, there was no more word from him after he left for Ariarica to rescue Mr. Macmaster.

“I worried that something might have happened to him, so I crossed the ocean toe here to find
out what happened to my master.
“However, I''ve been wandering around since arriving, and not only haven''t I discovered anything
about my master, I don''t even have a clue about where the Ghost Ship is.
“In the end, as my livelihood became a problem, I opted to stay at Eurasian Street temporarily to
earn a living and keep an ear out for any news about my master or the Ghost Ship.”
Ghost Ship? Mr. Macmaster?
Nathan seemed to have realized something. Colin, who was at the wheel, also exchanged a nce
with Kraven, seated in the passenger seat.
“Could your master''s good friend, Mr. Macmaster, possibly be Lothar Macmaster?”
It was Kerry''s turn to be astonished. Her eyes grew wide as she gaped at Nathan. “How did you
know, Mr. Cross?”
Nathan smiled. “Because I am a disciple of Lothar''s. I lost contact with my master after he came to
Ariarica and discovered that he was imprisoned on the Ghost Ship.”
Kerry''s mouth fell open.
Mr. Cross is the disciple of Master''s good friend! The world is full of coincidences.
After recovering from her shock, Kerry became gleeful upon recalling Nathan''s identity. “Do you
know where the Ghost Ship is, Mr. Cross? Are you preparing to rescue your master? Please bring
me along!”
Nathan smiled. “I won''t lie to you. I''m indeed investigating the Ghost Ship''s location and intend to
rescue my master, but I can''t bring you along.”
“Why not?” Kerry blurted out.
“It''s simple. I don''t want to bring a burden.”
Kerry was displeased by his words.
“I am not a burden, Mr. Cross,” she said in a huff.
Nathan smiled. “Are you good with a sword or a gun? Do you know how to kill people? Obviously
not! The Ghost Ship must be heavily guarded to be able to imprison many of the world''s supreme
beings. There would be dangers lurking around every corner. I''m not going to bring a helpless girl
like you there.”
“You underestimate me, Mr. Cross,” Kerry retorted. “I am a disciple of the God of Thieves. Though I
don''t know how to fight, I know how to pick locks. All kinds, I might add. I guarantee you will need
someone good with locks like I am when you break into the Ghost Ship. Your chances of rescuing
Mr. Macmaster and my master will be greater then.”
