Chapter 2479
?
As night fell, several ck Cadic SUVs were escorted by a convoy of military vehicles to the Ares Squad headquarters near the border of Volk. Hurriedly, Isaiah and his most highly-decorated officers came out to wee their guest, who was none other than Max, the five-starred admiral of Ariarica.
"We''re honored by your presence, Admiral Max."
Isaiah was all smiles as he invited Max and the others inside. Then, he had his subordinates serve up the finest delicacies for his honored guests. Seated at a long table, Max, Isaiah, and the others chatted andughed while enjoying their dinner.
"So what brought you to us, Admiral Max?" inquired Isaiah with a big smile.
"I''ve been visiting various countries in the Far East recently. Plus, the Eight-Nation Alliance ns to hold its second summit in Volk this year, so I decided toe here early."
Isaiah was well aware that the Eight-Nation Alliance nned to hold its second summit in his country, and he had nothing but good things to say about it.
Since the rtionship between Volk and Eurasia had been quite tense ofte, holding the summit in Volk would benefit the country greatly. Naturally, the alliance had an ulterior motive for doing that, for they wanted Volk to join them so that they could form a nine-nation alliance. That was also part of the reason why Max visited Isaiah.
"Have you made your mind yet? About Volk participating in the summit and joining us to form the Nine-Nation Alliance," asked Max intently. "I''m going to be frank with you, Admiral Max. To me, joining the alliance sounds like a terrific idea. However, our President is a pacifist, so he might not agree. That''s why I''ve been trying to change his mind for the past two days," replied Isaiah.
Max knew that the President of Volk was in charge of the country''s economy while the God of War was of the army, so naturally, Isaiah was the more powerful one of the two. To put it bluntly, the God of War could stage a coup and overthrow the President anytime.
Hence, Max had much faith that Isaiah would eventually convince the President.
"You''re the pir of Volk, General Swift, so I''m sure the President listen to you," uttered Max, follow by acackle. "Here''s a toast to Volk! May we be allies soon!"
"Cheers!" shouted Isaiah in response as he clinked his mug against Max''s.
Suddenly, an Ares soldier rushed in to whisper something into Isaiah''s ear, and when the God of War heard his subordinate, his eyes immediately widened.
“Is something the matter, General Swift?" inquired Max curiously when he noticed how shocked Isaiah seemed.
Isaiah smiled politely at the man

With that, the God of War quickly went outside with his subordinates.
Baffled by what had happened, Max and hispanions knitted their brows slightly.

Then, the man stood up and walked over to a window. He could see quite a few Relicopters taking off while a seemingly endless supply of tanks took their positions.
"Something''s up, and if I''m not mistaken, the West Army of Eurasia is here." Max spected in all seriousness.
Not long after that, he and the others could hear gunshotsing from outside.
One by one, the helicopters that had just taken to the sky dropped like flies after being hit by missiles.
Like the aerial vehicles, the tanks, too,
were assaulted by missiles andter engulfed in a sea of mes.
Apanying the horrific scene was the incessant ring of the air raid siren.
