    It did not take long for news of Jace''s arrest to reach Yorknd, which created an uproar among the public and the authorities in Yorknd. The authorities pointed their fingers at Nathan and used him of overstepping his authority. They reasoned that he had no right to detain Yorknd''s men and that their legal system did not apply to Yorknd.


    Jace was influential in Yorknd, so he had many supporters who petitioned for his release.


    However, it was a different scene among themoners in Yorknd. When they heard Jace was arrested, they jumped with joy and spread the good news to their family and friends.


    Jace was like a cancerous tumor to these people, causing them unbearable pain. No one in Yorknd could do anything to him, as he was powerful and influential there. It was a prayer answered when Nathan stepped in to rid them of that notorious scum.


    Despite multiple appeals and petitions from the authorities of Yorknd, Jace was not spared, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. As for his men, they were given varied jail sentences, depending on the severity of the crimes they hadmitted.


    Back in Channing, Derrick Dean was enjoying his steak and reading the newspaper when he saw the shocking news that Jace was sentenced.


    He couldn''t help but frown. "Nathan may appear to be an idle man, but it looks like he is still quite influential in the army! Otherwise, how can one exin why he can easily mobilize a thousand soldiers to take Jace down?" he muttered.


    Five men were standing respectfully behind Derrick as he ate. They were his top subordinates who had worked with him for many years. They were nicknamed D''Five.


    Each of the five men had unique talents. Buster was blessed with supernatural strength, and Liamme, although crippled in one leg, could maneuver his crutches quite invincibly. Counsellor was well-versed in the Ancient Arts, while Quasi was so cold-blooded he could ughter a whole vige without blinking an eyelid. The fifth was Schr, who was highly skilled in the use of swords.


    Counsellor solemnly stated, "Master, Mr. Quentin Perez sent us on a mission to get rid of Nathan. I think it will be more challenging than we thought it would be."


    Derrick put down his cutleries, took another nce at the headline news, and nodded. "Yes, it will be more challenging, but not so insurmountable that we need to n on backing out from the deal."


    "I had worked hard and finally gained recognition from Mr. Perez in the recent years. If I fail in this mission, 1 will fall out of favor with him." He frankly shared his concern.


    D''Five nodded understandingly and said, "Understood. We will definitely get this Nathan guy!"


    Derrick gave them a smile and said, "Yes, we will get him. However, he is highly skilled and has the ability to mobilize the army, so we cannot act rashly. We have toe up with a good strategy."
