Chapter 2307
When the Monk was only five meters away from Tim, the former sped up. His left leg stomped on
the ground.
A loud boom was heard, and cracks that looked like spider webs were formed.
He jumped into the air and swung his leg at an incredible speed to kick Tim''s head with a powerful
force.
The Monk moved much faster than Tim expected.
It was toote to unsheathe the whip sword, so Tim stood on one leg and swung his other leg over
without hesitating. He had used the kicking technique, The Sky Breaker.
Boom!
When the two legs crashed, a loud boom could be heard.
The Monk thought that he''d be able to take Tim down with that one kick.
To his dismay, not only did the kick fail to kill Tim, but he also fell backward after Tim retaliated. That
spun the former''s entire body into the air and mmed him onto the ground.
He was intrigued when he turned to Tim andmented, “I''m surprised. You arc much stronger
than I expected and are someone worthy of my full attention.”
Tim revealed the whip sword he had with him and swung it a little before icily replying, “Surprised
already? That is nothing, you know. You''ll be even more surprised when I cut your head off.”
The Monk got a pair of twin sai out of his possession and yed with them a little. He smiled. “You
are an interesting man. Come on then. Show me what you''re capable of.” Tim''s figure charged at
the Monk at a speed identical to that of lightning.
He was like a ghost, and the light reflecting off of his sword was bright.
The Monk lifted the dagger in his left hand and blocked the attack Tim made with his whip sword. At
the same time, he pushed the dagger in his other hand toward Tim’s chest.
Fortunately, Tim moved to the side in time to avoid it.
The two men were fighting endlessly, and their weapons kept running into each other, creating a
spine-chilling melody.
Both men were fighting experts.
Hence, their moves were extremely fatal and dangerous. A single mishap could lead to certain
death.
They were almost equally strong, and Tim was only slightly more powerful. That was why it would
not be easy for him to take the Monk down.
The Priest observed the fight from the side. To his surprise, even the Monk could not defeat Tim.
Eventually, he frowned and attacked Tim.
He swung his leg and kicked a pebble sitting in the middle of the road.
The pebble flew into the air as though it were a bullet and went after Tim.
Tim heard the pebble zipping through the air, so he didn''t bother checking. He was quick to move
aside to protect himself.
As a result, the pebble flew past him and missed its target.
However, the Monk took advantage of Tim’s distraction and used his twin sai to cut Tim''s arm. A
deep gash formed on his arm, and crimson red blood oozed from the wound. It was such a deep cut
that one could see Tim''s bone if they were close enough.

“You lost, brat. Put your weapon down and surrender,” said the Monk gleefully.
Tim was surprised and angry at the same time. He switched his whip sword to his other hand and
ignored his bleeding arm. After that, he growled in an icy tone, “You are not worthy of that.”
The battle against the Monk resumed.
However, the battle didn''tst long before Tim got distracted again. He had to be alert, so he quickly
scanned the Priest from the corner of his eyes to make sure that thetter didn''t try anything funny
again.
That quick scan caused him to look into the Priest''s eyes. Tim instantly felt something going off in
his mind, and his entire body stiffened. He felt as though he had lost all control of his own body.
That surprised and infuriated him once more. It took him a little time before he broke free of that
unsettling feeling and regain control of his body.
The Monk took advantage of that tiny window of opportunity and drove his de right into Tim''s left
shoulder.

Tim dropped his whip sword.
The Monk swung his leg over and sent Tim flying backward, causing a loud bang. Thetter
smashed onto the ground and spat blood.
Tim hadn''t even struggled to get up before a few men armed with katanas put their weapons
against his neck.
Immediately after that, they heard some footsteps. It turned out that Kristoff and Tetsuo had brought
their subordinates over.
Tetsuo smiled. “Hey there, Lone Star. Bet you didn''t expect to see me so soon, eh?”
Tim tilted his head up. With anger burning in his chest, he said, “Tetsuo! So you''re the one behind
this. There is no point in ambushing me, though. You will die a terrible death once Mr. Cross learns
what you did.”
Tetsuo sneered, “Hah! Don’t worry about that. I will tell your precious master what you just said,
then I will send him to the afterlife so that the two of you can keep each otherpany while
traveling to hell.”
Tim was staring daggers at Tetsuo with bloodshot eyes.
Kristoff calmly ordered, "Tie this guy up and set a trap for Nathan. After that, call him and make him
walk to his death.”
Tetsuo and the others simultaneously replied, “Understood.”
