Lucifer was helping himself to a cup of tea as Sky reported the timeline of the whole incident. He
had an odd expression on his face, as though he had an entirely different version of the events in

Sky summarized the entire timeline and told Lucifer as he looked at him anxiously. "Sire, our n to

defeat Nathan. The snipers I brought along have been taken out by his subordinates as well.”
In return, Lucifer nodded and replied cidly, "Correct me if I''m wrong, but Winston told me you
have been taken into custody by Nathan as well. However, Nathan then sent you home and
thanked you before leaving, right? Do you mind sharing with me what this is about? What sort of
favor have you done him?"
Sky''s expression changed drastically. He tried to exin himself immediately, "Sire, allow me to
exin myself. Once Nathan took me into custody, I had made up my mind to take up all the
responsibility. In fact, I was ready to sacrifice myself for the greater goal."
"But he had set you free, huh?" Lucifer asked rhetorically.
Sky tried his best to persuade Lucifer, "Yes! That''s exactly what Nathan is up to! He''s trying to stir
things up between us because he wants us to turn our backs against one another, Sire! Nathan will
achieve his goal if everyone thinks I have betrayed you. In short, he was trying to force me into
submission because he was certain you would doubt my loyalty."

Lucifer''s eyes glinted with a barely noticeable murderous intent. He got up from his seat and made
his way over to Sky''s side.
In the end, Lucifer held Sky''s hand and assured him, "That''spletely absurd! Does Nathan really
think he will be able to ruin our rtionship? You have always been a loyal subordinate of mine. In
fact, I think of you more as a close acquaintance of mine than a subordinate. We won''t allow Nathan
to achieve what he has in mind, never!"
"Thank you so much, Sire! Thank you for having faith in me!" Sky became emotional and expressed
his gratitude.
"You must have had a long day. I guess it''s time for you to return home and get some rest.
Eventually, I''ll think of something and deal with Nathan," Lucifer nodded and reassured Sky once
more.
"Winston, send Mr. Reilly home!" Lucifer instructed Winston once he finished pacifying Sky.
He made eye contact with Winston as he delivered his instructions. Naturally, Winston knew Lucifer
wanted Sky dead, meaning he was to take out Sky as he sent thetter back to his home.
"Mr. Reilly, please.” Winston brought two underlings with him to escort Sky back to his ce.
"Thank you," Sky expressed his gratitude.
Soon, they went into the car together and made their way back to Sky''s house.
One of Winston''s subordinates was the driver, while Winston and another subordinate sat by Sky''s
side.
Sky had fallen asleep a few minutes after getting into the car and snored as the group made their
way toward his ce. The lethargic man seemed to have no idea what would befall him soon.
Finally, Winston reached for the dagger he had hidden. When he was about to send Sky to hell,
Winston squinted and whispered, "Mr. Reilly, are you asleep?" The man was sleeping soundly. It
seemed as though he wasn''t aware that Winston was talking to him. He murmured to himself and
continued sleeping.
Winston sneered and held on to the dagger firmly. He was about to slit Sky''s throat and send him to
hell.
Bang!
All of a sudden, Winston heard a shot being fired in close proximity. Before he could realize what
was going on, he had been shot in the head.
Winston copsed; he died with his eyes wide open.
His subordinates were shocked that their supervisor was taken out by surprise.
The person who had fired the shot was Sky himself. Since they went into the car, he had been
pretending to sleep all along.
As one of Lucifer''s strategists, Sky was an extremely intelligent man. And given he had been by
Lucifer''s side for years, he knew well what Lucifer was up to.

Usually, Lucifer would throw a tantrum whenever someone failed a mission he had assigned the
person. If he had thrown a tantrum in front of Sky, things would havee to an end.
However, if Lucifer behaved the exact opposite way and treated those who had failed their mission
in a courteous manner, it meant that he had something else in store forthem.
Thus, Sky knew Lucifer would kill him the moment they left the Leeroy family mansion.
He decided to be vulnerable in front of Winston by pretending to be asleep. However, he had hidden
a miniature pistol with him all along.
The miniature pistol had only three bullets. Despite its size, it would be a lifethreatening weapon if
he were to fire it within a short distance of his target.
Once Sky killed Winston, he did not hesitate to take aim at the other two men in the car and killed
them both before they could figure out what was going on.
As the driver was killed, the car went out of control and ran into the flower bed by the road.
It took Sky quite some time, but he managed to move the corpses out of the car and buried them
within the flower bed.
Once he dealt with them, he rushed home immediately. Finally, he brought his wife and children to
Bossania City''s military district. Most importantly, he had a name list with him which detailed the
information of those who had participated in the murder of Wyatt Windsor.
Sky had made up his mind to yield himself to Nathan''s authority. Currently, Nathan was on his way
to Bossania City''s military district to meet Patrick, the person in charge.
Since Lucifer intended to kill him, Sky hesitated no more and decided to turn his back against his
former master.
