Chapter 1308 General Nathan Cross Called
Nathan replied calmly, "Old Master Jordan isn''t an ordinary man, and he would not change his
position with me. He will treat me as he always has. Still, he is themanding officer of the
military, and I killed his grandson, so I should inform him about it."
On the way back home, Nathan fished his phone out and dialed Old Master Jordan''s phone
number.
The truth, however, was that Old Master Jordan had already learned about his grandson''s death.
He was sitting in the study room with a grouchy expression.
The butler had the mobile phone with him when he informed cautiously, "Sir, the General of the
North, Nathan Cross, is calling."
Old Master Jordan didn''t say a word.
The butler sweated as he held the ringing phone. He didn''t know what to do, and the phone kept
ringing.

Just before the phone was about to be hung up, Old Master Jordan instructed, "Pick it up."
The butler quickly pressed the ept button and handed the mobile phone to him.

when he picked up the phone. "General! I was just about to call you. Who would''ve thought that
you''d call me first?"
Nathan cut to the chase. "I know you will demand an answer, so I thought I''d rify beforehand."
Old Master Jordan immediately said, "General, there''s no need for that. I have learned all about
what my unfilial grandson, Gary did. That boy really is too much. It is his own fault that he died by
your hand."
Nathan rified calmly anyway, "Gary and Hagrid raped my teacher''s daughter, and that prompted
her tomit suicide by jumping off a building. I gave them a chance to repent their sins, but Gary
tried to kill me and had ill intentions toward my wife. He crossed my line, and I wish you can
understand what I did."
Old Master Jordan replied, "I understand. That idiot tried to kill you, and that is a grave sin. If you
hadn''t beaten me to it, I would''ve killed him myself."
Nathan knew that Old Master Jordan was just being polite, but the former didn''t point it out. Nathan
simply said, "I''m d you understand."
Old Master Jordan chatted with Nathan for a little longer before he changed the subject and said,
"By the way, General, you haven''t been guarding the Northern border and had gone to the South for
vacation. There are a lot of rumors about how you have neglected your duties. Some even advised
the president to take away your position for it. What are your thoughts on that?"
Nathan sounded like he was joking when he asked, "Dang, who''s giving the president that idea?
Couldn''t have been you, could it?"
Old Master Jordan chuckled. "Of course not. I have retired for so long, so I am in no position to say
anything. Besides, the newbies nowadays are such arrogant pricks. They no longer respect me."
Nathan could tell that Old Master Jordan was insulting him.
