Chapter 1226 I Will Keep It A Secret
Frida was a little embarrassed as she was the one who had caused the trouble.
Fortunately, Nathan''s remark took the heat off her.
She looked at Nathan in admiration because she knew of his true identity.
After all, there were only a handful of high-ranking officers in the nation. Plus, those as young as
Nathan were rare.
When Nathan asked the Secret Service and SWAT to leave, Frida noticed that even the twow
enforcement units had to take orders from him.
Since Nathan was also skilled in martial arts, Frida had reason to believe that he was none other
than the General of the North.
Hence, Frida looked at Nathan excitedly as if she were worshipping a god.
She had once been a soldier and regarded the God of War as her idol even though she had never
been able to meet him.
Therefore, she felt honored to be able to meet the General in person and even be the
bodyguard of his wife.
In fact, she was so excited that she almost couldn''t help but scream out loud.
When Penny talked to the customers and staff about what had happened earlier, everyone didn''t
think it was strange. They merely regarded it as news and eventually stopped discussing it,
returning to work as usual.
Later that day, Penny returned to Cross Group and began her work in the CEO office.
After working there for quite some time, Frida felt that her working hours were rtively flexible.
When Nathan was about to take a lift to go downstairs, Frida immediately came up to him and
greeted him, "Mr. Cross!"
She sessfully rushed into the lift right before it closed.
Hence, the lift went down with only two persons in it. Nathan felt slightly ufortable when he
looked at Frida, who was looking excited and nervous at the same time. It was as if he was a
military instructor while she was a newly registered soldier.
After a moment of silence, Nathan asked ndly, "What''s wrong?”
Frida said softly, "Thank you for helping me in the cafe. Actually, the Secret Service came because I
attempted to find out who you are. Anyway, thank you for saving me."
Nathan replied coldly, "I did tell you that a person who''s nosy would eventually risk her neck, yet you
didn''t listen to me."
Much to his surprise, Frida couldn''t help but reply softly, "I''m curious about who you are because
you seem so powerful...”
Once she finished speaking, she looked up at him for a while before she continued, "Even though I
didn''t obtain an exact answer from my investigation, I think I know who you are. If I''m not mistaken,
you''re the General of the North and the God of War of our nation. Besides, you''re literally
worshipped by every soldier."
Meanwhile, Nathan was surprised that Frida had found out who he was.
Nevertheless, he didn''t mind and only reminded her, "It''s fine if you''re aware of it, but don''t tell
anyone about it. I don''t want to cause trouble to my family and disrupt their peaceful lives due to my
identity."
Since Nathan was the God of War of the nation, many enemies were waiting for the opportunity to
get rid of him.
Therefore, Nathan didn''t want anyone to reveal his identity for fear that his enemies would target his
family members once they knew who he was.
Frida nodded repeatedly and said, "Yes, General. I''ll keep it a secret and would rather die than
reveal it to anyone."
Much to Frida''s surprise, he said gleefully, "It''s not necessary. I won''t me you if you reveal it
because your life is under threat." Ding-dong! They finally arrived at the parking area when the lift
opened.
Nathan turned to Frida, saying, "Alright, you may return to the office to protect my wife.”

Frida immediately stood straight to give him a military salute. She replied in a deep voice,
"Understood!”
Nathan shed her a smile before he turned around and left.
Frida was particrly excited as she watched Nathan''s retreating figure from behind.
I''ve never thought I''ll have the honor to meet the General! I guess it''s the dying wish of every
soldier!
