    Gabrie nearly burst out indignantly after hearing that Joan’s conscience was clear. It has been years.

    meek, but she could be imposing if needed.


    “Gabrie Ward, stop pretending it isn’t you. Whether or not Larry and I get a divorce is between us. It


    has nothing to do with you. Even if you love Larry and want to marry him, that’s your business. Let me


    tell you. Larry will not marry you even after we get a divorce!” answered Joan loudly.
