While Anne was listening to that, Corentin’s call came in.
Anne knew this was a call she had to answer no matter what. “…Uncle.”
“What did you tell your grandpa?”
“Uncle…you can’t be influenced by Tommy. He’s going to get you killed,” said Anne.
“Is that so? Since you suspected it, you should’vee to ask me personally instead of going to
someone else.” Corentin’s voice was rather cold.
“I’m sorry, Uncle. I was thinking it’s not that good if I directly asked you, who had been wrongfully
used,” Anne said apologetically.
“Come over and let’s clear the air.”
After she hung up the call, Anne, who was mentally prepared, went to the mansion.
Corentin has asked her to go over, but he would not harm her.

Anne gave it a thought and said, “Uncle, the next time Tommy calls you again, let me know. I won’t be
bothering you if I stay here, right?”

After Anne came out from the showers at night, her phone rang. She nced at it, then answered,”
What?”
“What are you doing?”
“I just finished showering.”
“What’s the matter?” Anne sensed the coldnessing from the other end of the call.
“You should’ve given me a video call when you were in the showers.”
