    The triplets walked out of school and spotted Anne waiting by the car. They hurried over, shouting in


    unison, “Mama!”


    Anne could not hold all three of them at once and could only crouch to wrap her arms around their


    bodies.


    “When did youe back, Mama?”


    “You didn’t tell us that you were leaving. We were worried.”


    “It’s good that you came home.”


    “I went to handle something and came home once that’s done,” Anne exined.

    They took the triplets and left the school.


    Back in the Royal Mansion, an unfamiliar car was parked outside the gate and Hayden. came out to


    wee the family, before exining, “Mr. Marwood, Mr. Tommy is here.”


    They headed into the living room and spotted Tommy sitting on the couch while watching. romantic


    dramas. His lips curled into a smile when he spotted Anthony, Anne and the triplets.


    He took out three gifts and presented them to the triplets. “I got you gifts. Open them and see if you like


    them.”


    Inside the boxes were diamonds of different colors.


    “Why would you get them diamonds?” Anne asked with resignation, knowing that the diamonds must


    have cost fortunes.


    “If


    your parents refuse to give you money, you can sell those,” Tommy said.


    Anthony took off his jacket expressionlessly and handed it to Hayden.


    “You’ve juste home from overseas, right?” Tommy asked.


    Anne paled slightly and did not respond.


    “Anthony, Hayden said that you were on a business trip and Anne followed you there?” Tommy asked.


    When Anthony refused to answer, he walked over to Anne. “What did your two do?”


    Before Anne could say anything, Anthony pulled her into his arms and stared at Tommy sharply. “You


    need something?”


    “I just care for the two of you. Anthony, why are you so tense?”


    Anthony pinched the skin on Anne’s waist gently and said, “Go be with the kids while they work on their


    homework. We will call you when the food is ready.”


    “Alright.” Knowing that Anthony did not want her in their conversation, she took the triplets to the study


    room.


    Tommy watched as the four disappeared into the distance and turned his attention back to Anthony.


    “Something you need to say, Anthony?”


    “You seem to know with certainty that Anne is back.” Anthony narrowed his eyes coldly, already


    knowing the answer.


    Tommy looked away briefly. “Did Anne not mention it to you?”


    “About what?” Anthony remained expressionless.


    “Back when I was out of the country, I ran into her being drugged and ambushed,” Tommy said after a


    moment of hesitation. “I didn’t tell you about it because Anne wouldn’t let me. She didn’t want to return


    to you. Since you’ve asked, I can’t lie or you would suspect that something is going on between Anne


    and I.”


    Anthony knew about the past events long ago and though he was appreciative that Tommy had saved


    Anne, he saw no point in allowing the two to be in contact with one another when unnecessary.


    “Don’t get close to her. See him out, Hayden.” Anthony left the study room.


    “You are so merciless, Anthony!” Tommy protested, but Anthony simply ignored him and left.
