    Anne felt like crying and she bit her lips. “From now on…let’s not meet anymore. Let’s not even contact


    each other anymore. Alright?” As soon as she said that, the person on the other end fell silent. “Listen


    to me, alright? I’ll return you the favor I’ve owed you in the future…”


    Her voice was choking and tears streamed down her face.


    They had to cut their losses at the right time. She could not harm Lucas anymore.
