Chapter 1267
“Also, do you not have your own home? Why are you here every day?” Jeremy implied his intention to
kick her out.
Meredith’s face turned green. “Jeremy, who is your family? I need to tell Auntie and get her to discipline
you!”
“Then, please go ahead. I will say this now, and I will not repeat myself. Whoeverys a finger on
Ashlynn is openly challenging me!” Jeremy had always not been seeing eye to eye with Meredith and
was, of course, not going to be easy on her this time.
“Are you seriously treating me this way just because of a woman that came from the slum?” Meredith
asked once again.
Ashlynn, who was standing by the side, really wanted to express that she wanted to go back to the
servants‘ quarters, but she heard Jeremy rebutting, “Do you think I am joking?”
Right at this moment, Beth came back. She was even carrying a limited edition
woman’s bag in her hand. However, she was weed with such a scene as soon as she got home.
Meredith looked as though her savior had arrived. She went forward and cried, “Auntie, look at Jeremy.
He allowed Ashlynn to sleep in the guest room. We did not invite her here to be a guest!”
Aunt Cher added on, “Ashlynn even broke the tes this morning. Not only was she not punished, but
now she gets to stay in the guest room. I wonder how much she drugged Young Master.”
Jeremy’s sharp gaze was directed right at Aunt Cher.
Aunt Cher squirmed backward.
Beth red at her son, then said sternly, “Ashlynn, please go out.”
“No!” Jeremy pulled Ashlynn again.
This time, even Ashlynn thought he was a little too much.
Why was he so rebellious! This would make things very difficult for her!
“Are you done?” Beth was utterly displeased.
“Mom, I have something to tell you.” Jeremy meant to have a conversation with her in private.
“What do you want to say that I am not allowed to listen to?” Meredith questioned.
“Why is everything relevant to you?” Jeremy was impatient.
“You…” Meredith was exasperated.
Beth consoled her, “Fine, don’t get on your nerves. Let me see what he has to say. I
have not given you a lesson yet for pulling my hair today!” Then, Beth left.
Ashlynn watched as Jeremy and Beth left, stunned by what she said.
Why did Jeremy pull his mother’s hair?
Meredith saw them leaving too and did not wish to stay in the space that was shared with Ashlynn.
She fanned her nose as though trying to fan away some nonexistent stench and then left.
Only Ashlynn was left in the room. She stood there and was uncertain of what to do.

Beth ced her bag down in the room, and sat down on the couch, then massaged her neck. “Why are
you siding with Ashlynn? Now I question your motive.”
“What motive?” Jeremy asked.
“At your sister’s wedding, you asked what if the girl you liked is from the slum? If I did not guess it
wrong, this girl that you were referring to is Ashlynn, right? Jeremy, I don’t care how yful you are out
there with any celebrities or models, but if you decided to bring home someone like Ashlynn, I would
never forgive you!”
Jeremy did not argue with her on this. He sat next to her and looked at her with all
seriousness.
Beth had never seen her son with such a serious face.
Her heart sank a little. What if her son really was heavily seduced by Ashlynn?
“Mom, do you remember that you told me my sister had a blood–red crescent
birthmark on her back?”
Beth was confused. “Why are you asking me about this? Don’t you divert the
conversation.”
“I found out identally that Ashlynn had a birthmark that looked like that on her
back, next to her shoulder de!” Jeremy said.
Beth was stunned. She looked at him nkly. “What did you… What did you say? No… No!
Impossible!”
Her daughter was already missing for over twenty years, and she had already given up on the search.
Now he was telling her that Ashlynn had a blood–red crescent birthmark on her back, and she even
was her biggest nemesis?
“If you don’t believe me, you could go see it for yourselfter tonight after Ashlynn is asleep,” Jeremy
said.
