Chapter 1264
“How dare you to talk back! Do you really think you are here to be a missy?” Aunt Cher was whipping
mercilessly at Ashlynn’s back.
“Ah! Uhm!” Ashlynn could not stand it any longer, grabbed hold of the cane, and snatched it over.
Aunt Cher did not expect her to fight back and said angrily, “Hand it over!”
She then aggressively went forward to snatch.
Ashlynn pushed her away, hard.
“Ah!” Aunt Cher fell on her bum and started wailing, “Someone get a hold of this disrespectful girl! She
hit me! Whip her to death!”
The other servants immediately came by, hearing themotion.
Property belongs to N?vel(D)r/ama.Org.
Someone helped Aunt Cher up.
“Tie her up! Lock her up in the room, and do not give her any food!” Aunt Cher pointed at Ashlynn, her
face twisted like a witch’s.
It was almost as though she could only be pacified if Ashlynn were dead.
Ashlynn looked at the two servants who approached her, still with the cane in her hand.
She thought that if they everid a finger on her, she would immediately whip them and then leave the
ce.
“What is going on?” A man’s deep voice could be heard from the entrance of the kitchen.
Jeremy walked in.
The servants all dodged to the side as soon as they heard the voice. They knew who that was.
When Jeremy saw Ashlynn, he was stunned. “Ash, what are you doing here?”
Ashlynn was not too surprised. Instead, she was relieved by Jeremy’s surprise
appearance.
Otherwise, if Beth and Meredith had heard this, she would not end up well.
Jeremy saw the servant’s attitude in the kitchen and knew that they were up to no
good.
The thing was, why was Ashlynn there?
Before Ashlynn could say anything, Aunt Cherined, “Young Master, this is Ashlynn… She was
violent to me. She pushed me to the floor and hurt my waist!”
“You whipped me with this first.” Ashlynn lifted her hand to show the cane in her
hand.
“You broke the te and talked back. You deserved to be whipped! You need to abide by the rules in
the Hilton family!” Aunt Cher was still talking confidently.
Jeremy took one look around the room smartly, then said, “Dismissed. What a shame to see all of you
gathered here like a mess. Ashlynn, youe with me.”
Then, he left.
Ashlynn tossed the cane away and followed.
Finally, Jeremy stopped when they reached the backyard. He turned around and looked at Ashlynn.
“Can you please exin what is going on? I am so confused. Did I just see you cook?”
Ashlynn then told him what had happened.
Even if she did not tell him, Jeremy would eventually find out as well.
Jeremy did not expect that he was only out to have fun with the girls for a few days, and things had
already escted this far. Everything happened outside of his
expectations.
“I thought that Corentin canceled his engagement with Meredith because he regretted it and would like
to turn over a new leaf. Then, why did you listen to him ande here to be a ve? Why are you so
easily bullied?”
“No worries, I was born poor. These are not big challenges.”
“Why didn’t you call me?” Jeremy asked.
“I will only be here for a few days. When Corentin’s tantrum passes, I will go back home,” Ashlynn said
lightly.
She was d andforted to see Jeremy taking her side.
After all, Jeremy was much more privileged than Corentin. He, indeed, was born with
a silver spoon. For him to show kindness toward someone unrted to him was a testament to his
personality.
“Don’t worry, and thank you. Please pretend that you did not see me while I am
around.” Ashlynn did not wish for Jeremy to see Beth or Meredith bully her.
She thought there was no need for him to have beef with his own family because of her.
That night, Ashlynn returned to the servants‘ quarters. There were other people around, and the room
was filled with noise.
