Lucas walked up to her and looked at her face and her wrists. “He’s not locking you up anymore?”
“Yes.”
“You said he will let you out, so I kept waiting. I was worried something had happened to you, so I
came over.” Lucas‘ gaze darkened.
“He’s no longer chaining me up. That’s probably already being lenient to me!” Anne mocked herself.
“Oh, yes, Chloe is already back at the Royal Mansion. I have nothing to worry about anymore. It’s only
a matter of time now. He can’t be locking me up forever. However, you shouldn’te over. Anthony
returned as soon as you left thest time. I don’t know if he was suspecting something…”
He got suspicious when he did not even see anything. Anthony was too sharp.
“Don’t worry. He didn’t see me,” said Lucas. There was a pause before he said, “After you’ve gotten
out, I want to take you away.”
Anne shook her head like she was frightened. “No. Anthony will never let me go. He will capture me
again at all costs. Your safety, your parents, and also the school….Mr. Newman, don’t say such a thing
anymore. I won’t leave with you.”
She had long known how powerful Anthony was.
That was not unusually frightening.
“I’ll first send you away. As long as he doesn’t have any evidence, he won’t do anything to me. After

Anne was even more frightened out of her wit’s end. It could not be Kathryn at this time, which meant
