    ‘Did Anne do this? How dare she? Who does she think she is, a princess?’ Mia thought.


    She watched as Anthony went into the study room and followed Hayden into the kitchen. “Sir, are we


    preparing food for Mr. Marwood?”


    “Yeah.”


    “I saw that Mr. Marwood was injured on his hand. Why don’t I take over here and you treat Mr.


    Marwood’s wounds?”


    “Mr. Marwood is injured?” Hayden had not noticed it. “Sure. Be careful, though.”


    “Yes, sir.” Mia took out a small sk and swiftly put a drop of the content into the soup once Hayden


    was gone.


    As soon as she was done, Hayden returned and said, “Are you done? Let’s go inside together.”


    She nced at the first aid kit in Hayden’s hand and suggested, “Sir, why don’t I treat Mr. Marwood’s


    wound? I’m experienced in that.”


    Hayden shot her an odd look. “Mia, you have been quite proactivetely.”


    “I’m not trying to take your job, Sir. I just want a bigger bonus,” Mia said slyly so that Hayden would


    think that she was merely working to get more money.


    “You are in need of money?”


    “My parents are ill and I want to earn more to give them a better life.”


    He nodded. “Let’s go, then. Follow me to the study room.”


    “Thank you, Sir.”


    Mia followed Hayden into the study room with the first aid kit in hand and knocked on the door, before


    entering with Anthony’s permission.


    Hayden pushed the food cart into the study room. “Mr. Marwood, why don’t you eat something? What


    do you feel like having?”


    Anthony did not bother looking at the dishes on the table and simply stared at theputer before him


    thoughtfully.


    Though he had satisfied his animalistic urges with Anne, he felt empty, mainly because Anne was far


    too deviant.


    The more she fought back, the more forceful he had to be to make sure that she had no strength left to


    fight him again.


    He left the room and sat down before hisputer after Anne lost consciousness, the tension in the


    study room rose.


    “Mr. Marwood…” Hayden muttered.


    “Take those out,” hemanded coldly.


    Hayden, who had managed to be in the position of head butler, knew better to give up. Since Anne had


    not eaten, it was likely that Anthony would not eat as well. He could not help but wonder what


    happened between the couple again.


    “If you don’t want food, at least let us treat the wound on your hand.” Hayden gave up and said, “Mia,


    come.”


    Mia walked closer and crouched beside Anthony. “Mr. Marwood, your hand is injured. I will put some


    medicine on it. It will be quick.”

    Anthony nced at the scratch marks on the back of his hand and noticed that they were swollen.


    Mia summoned the courage to reach for Anthony’s hand and ced it on the edge of the table. She


    took out the sanitizer from the first aid kit and reminded me before proceeding, “Mr. Marwood, this is


    going to hurt a little…”


    She applied the sanitizer, and Anthony did not respond.


    Hayden was impressed and wondered for a moment how she could be so brave for the sake of earning


    more money.


    In truth, Mia was extremely nervous, but was confident at the same time as she was merely acting to


    take care of Anthony.


    Anthony did not stop her, likely because he knew that it was for his own good.
