Chapter 1169
Corentin served her the food at meal times.
Ashlynn was still hugging Chichi, and leaned against the headboard lifelessly.
“Have something.” Corentin sat by the bed.
Ashlynn did not respond, as though she did not hear him. Her eyes were not even moving.
“Ash, I said it. As long as you give birth to the child, I will change, okay?” Corentin asked.
Ashlynn still did not budge.
“After lunch, I will bring you out of here. We will go to my secret residence. I will protect you until you
give birth to the child,” Corentin said.
She still did not respond, then Corentin pinched Chichi, sitting in her hands, and lifted it up.
Chichi wailed in shock.

“What are you doing?” Ashlynn finally responded and wanted to snatch Chichi back,” Return Chichi to
me!”
Corentin blocked her using one hand, another one dragging Chichi. It was so tiny and so vulnerable, as
though Corentin could have easily killed it with just his fist.
“Eat your food.” Corentin lifted his head slightly, signaling to her.
Ashlynn turned and looked at the lunch being ced on her nightstand. It looked nutritious and not oily.
It was specifically prepared for her.
She hesitated. She did not want to eat.
“I will return Chichi to you after you finish eating.” Corentin’s hand rubbed Ashlynn’s t tummy.
In fact, the fetus was only as big as a nail and was only ‘nted‘ in the ‘soil‘ not too long ago.
However, he was very precious and gentle with it.
Ashlynn did not like it that way. It was because the kid was not weed, and Corentin’s action would
only make her annoyed.
She moved her body backward, lifted the bowl and the cutlery, then ate her lunch quietly.
She could not eat that much, and soon, she ced her cutlery down.
“Too little.”
Ashlynn looked at Chichi in his hand. “I will vomit if I overeat. Can you return Chichi to me now?”
Corentin returned Chichi to her.
Ashlynn immediately hugged it in her arms as though she was afraid that it would be hurt.
Corentin looked at her defensive mannerism and said, “Keep the kid, then I would not do anything to
Chichi.”
“You could not even spare a dog. Are you still a human?” Ashlynn’s tone was full of detest.
“You are the one who did not want the kid. You are its mother,” Corentin reminded her.
“It is still a fetus now, and it is not considered a kid. Salvatore, if you don’t want this kid, I will be
thankful.” Ashlynn tried to say something to convince him.
However, Corentin, who was ruthless, would never agree to it.
He looked at his watch and said, “It is about time.”
“I am not going anywhere.” Ashlynn did not know where Corentin wanted to bring her to. However, she
was very clear that it was somewhere worse than where she was.
“My old man had already nted his people around here. He would spy on me all day! It is not only not
good for the kid, but it also is not good for you as well.” For now, Corentin did not have absolute control
over the Lloyd Group.
The old man was precisely afraid of this, which was why he had not yet let go of his control.
That was right as well. He was not the real Corentin, who was very much obedient.
He was Salvatore, born with a presumptuous personality.
“I did not know that you have your cowardly side.” Ashlynn was sarcastic.
Corentinughed. He did not care to be mocked. His finger slid across her belly and said, “You should
feel grateful to be pregnant. At least you have some upper hand against me. Otherwise, I would not
care much.”
Ashlynn felt that the thing that just glided across her belly was not a finger but a de.
She was thinking hard.
If she informed Cory about her pregnancy, would that mean she had a way out?
“Don’t you expect Cory to help you? If you remove the kid, I don’t know what kind of crazy stuff I would
do to you…” Corentin pointed at her belly.
His shadows cast over her, and she felt shiveringly cold.
