Every word Bianca said was a false usation directed at Anne.
Anne turned to frown at Bianca and thought to herself, ‘When exactly have I mentioned anything about
marrying Anthony?‘
She turned to study Anthony’s expressionless face and wondered if he was going to believe Bianca.
Whether he believed Bianca or not, all Anne wanted was the truth to her father’s death.
They continued to y the surveince footage and found no abnormality at night until the next day.
Sarah and Anne appeared with the triplets, and naturally, everyone heard whatever they said as well.
They did not say anything important or bad about Bianca, so Anne did not feel ufortable at all.

“That’s true. My daughter doesn’t need to steal someone else’s man. We have so many eligible

Dorothy turned to shoot Anne a disgusted look as though she had never seen anyone more
shameless.
Anne felt slightly embarrassed.
Half an hour after Anne took the triplets away, the nurse appeared as usual, to give Nigel his injection
before leaving.
Sarah proceeded to massage Nigel’s legs and as she had imed, the heart rate monitor connected to
Nigel showed abnormality ten minutester. She immediately reached for the rm and Kathryn
hurried to the room shortly after.

The technician adjusted the footage and located the precise timing, but there was no issue found when
the nurse retrieved the medicine for injection.
On the nurse’s way to the ward, someone bumped into her and the nurse said, “Watch out.”
“I’m sorry…” The person apologized and left.
The person’s back was facing the cameras, but there did not seem to be any issue there either.
The cameras followed the person until she walked into the elevator and since the person was wearing
a hat, they could not see her face.
There were fewer cameras outside the hospital and once the woman made a turn into a small alley,
they lost sight of her.
“I think that’s a woman,” Anne said.
“Call the nurse here,” Anthonymanded.
Kathryn made a call and showed the nurse the footage of when her cart was bumped.
“Did you not notice anything wrong?” Anthony questioned sharply.
“I…I had my full attention on the cart and didn’t pay attention to anything else. I checked after that, but
nothing was missing and everything seemed fine when I used them.”
“Did you see that person’s face?” Anne asked.
“I only knew that it was a woman and because of the hat she wore, I only saw her lips, but I remember
that she has a small mole at the corner of her mouth,” the nurse said.
Just then, theboratory staff came inside and said, “Dr. Brown, the results are out. Mr. Faye was
poisoned by something called Cantharidin, which caused his heart to stop.
The earth started spinning in front of Anne. She could not believe that something like that would
happen despite how many people had been around Nigel.
‘Why? Who did this? What for?‘ She thought.
“You are behind this!” Dorothy used Sarah.
“It’s not me!” Sarah denied it with frustration.
“You are the only one who has the motive. I knew that something was wrong with that will. You and
Anne must have tricked Nigel into writing that will and because you don’t want Nigel to regain
consciousness. That’s why you killed him!” Dorothy said.
“Why you-” Sarah was devastated as it was and was livid to be used of murder.
“Anthony, you need to capture this woman. She is a homewrecker who hasn’t done anything good in
her life. No one else could do such a thing apart from her!” Dorothy said to Anthony.
Bianca agreed, “That’s true, Anthony. Sarah is the biggest suspect. Let’s just take her into custody and
question her. Dad can’t just die for no reason.”

Anne stood before her mother protectively. “You can try toy your hands on my mom and see what
happens!”
“Anne, are you sure you want to protect her? If you weren’t Dad’s daughter, I would have suspected
you as well!” Bianca said.
“This is still under investigation. How do you know that we did this? We will find out what
happened once we hunt down that woman we saw on the surveince cameras,” Anne said.
“Why bother going through all that trouble, when we can interrogate your mom into telling the truth?”

Anne scoffed. “No one is touching my mom under my watch!” She was determined to stop
anyone
who intended to, even if it was Anthony that she had to fight against.
Bianca ignored her and turned to Anthony. “Anthony, why don’t you tell your men to send Sarah to the
police. I’m sure that she will tell the truth once they interrogate her.”
“I don’t need you to tell me what to do,” Anthony said coldly.
Bianca froze and doubted her own ears for a moment.
“Notify the police to track this woman down!” Anthony turned to leave.
“Yes, sir!”
Nigel was cremated and they had organized a funeral for him. Since he did not divorce his wife when
he was alive, Dorothy and Bianca were the ones who managed everything.
Anne, too, was allowed to be there as she was Nigel’s daughter as well, but Sarah was forbidden to
participate.
Sarah did not bother trying and simply stayed at home.
Anne sat alone at a corner preparing the flowers for the ceremony as tears scrolled down her tears.
She was overwhelmed by sorrow and guilt.
How could she fail to protect her own father from being murdered by someone else?
She had thought that he would wake up at a certain point, and it was so hard for her to ept the fact
that he was gone.
Just then, she heard noisesing from the entrance and saw a few tiny feet in front of her.
“Mama…”
Anne looked up and saw her triplets before her with Anthony standing behind them. She got up and
took their hands. “Come on. Let’s go say goodbye to Grandpa.”
