Chapter 795
If he did not care about human lives, he definitely would not care about an animal’s life.
“That depends on you. I’ve sent you the address of the hotel.” Corentin hung up and sent her the
address of his hotel along with his room number to her, before waiting for her toe to him.
Terrified, Ashlynn hurried to the hotel. Along the way, she thought back to the call history on her phone
from the pet store. She realized that her dog did not go missing.
The pet store owner made a call to her because the stay period for her dog was almost over. Corentin
came to the phone and took her dog away ahead of time.
Once she arrived at the hotel, Corentin’s subordinates led her to the room and opened the door for her.
Ashlynn walked inside and saw the man lounging on the couch, even the couch could not contain his
towering figure.
At that very moment, she saw him as the way she knew him as Salvatore, free and
untameable.
Heidzily with a wine ss in his hand. He stared at her with his amber–colored eyes and muttered,
“Here you are.”
“Where’s my dog?”
“You sure are bold. Did you think Anne or Anthony could help you?” He questioned sharply.
She darted toward him. “What did you do to my dog? Or…did you already…”Content protected by N?v/el(D)rama.Org.
“It’s too little to be considered snacks for my alligators,” he said, to which Ashlynn assumed that it
meant her dog was safe.
“It’s in Athetin,” he continued.
Stunned, Ashlynn gaped at him.
“I was actually waiting for you to call the police on me. Why didn’t you do that?” He studied her face
curiously. “You don’t have any proof? Should I offer you some?”
“… You are Corentin Lloyd now. No one will believe me. They will only think that I’ve gone insane,” she
said.
When Corentin mentioned the fact that she had been seeing a psychiatrist, whatever she said before
no longermanded trust, and Corentin was more than capable to throw her into an asylum.
Ashlynn knew that calling the police would only embarrass herself.
“Which is why you shouldn’t havee running back to Luton for help.” Corentin sat up abruptly and
stared into her eyes darkly.
Startled, she took two steps backward warily. “How can I stay after knowing who you really are? Even if
I keep my mouth shut, you wouldn’t have let me go.”
“You should know that I’m the only family you have left. No one will help you apart from me. “He
approached her and bent down slightly, before cupping her face. “Have you forgotten about how we
rely on one another?”
She backed away from him and kept her distance. “Just leave me alone, Salvatore! I won’t mention
your true name ever again. You are Corentin Lloyd now and you have your own. life. Our paths are not
meant to cross. I can tell Ms. Vallois that I only said those things because I was confused, okay?”
Corentin simply closed in the distance without a word.
Ashlynn continued to back away and tried to run away when she was cornered. He grabbed her by the
arm and tossed her onto the bed.
“Ah!” Though the bed was soft, her head still spun from the sudden movement.
Corentin walked over and propped an arm against the bed to stare down at her. “I’m here to take you
with me and you shouldn’t be here. Why would you bother Anne? Why does she have to help you
when she is in a lot of trouble herself? Do you not care about what happens to your dog?”
Ashlynn panicked and immediately pleaded, “Don’t…don’t hurt it. It’s been with me for over a year and
it’s the only reason that I managed to ovee my nightmares. I’m begging you, Salvatore…”
“Its life depends on you.” He rubbed her cheeks with his finger.
Her lips quivered. “Salvatore Yeager, you are the one who should be seeing a psychiatrist.”
“I’m the most normal person in the world.” He chuckled gently, despite the monstrosity of his true
nature. “Your answer?”
