    As soon as they were in the living room, Amy took the chance to reach her foot out to trip Ashlynn.


    “Ah!” Ashlynn fell onto the ground, and Amy could not help but smile at the sight. However, before she


    could chuckle, a shadow loomed over her.


    Amy looked up and was startled when she realized Corentin was looking down at her. She lowered her


    head to the point that her chin was almost touching her cor bones as she thought to herself, ‘He


    didn’t see me just now, did he?‘


    Ashlynn was still struggling to get up when someone pulled her up. She wondered how the maid could


    be this strong for a moment, but immediately withdrew her arm when she saw Corentin’s face in front of


    her.


    She kept her distance and thought, ‘What did I trip on just now? The maid was the only one next to


    me.‘


    Thinking back to Amy’s attitude, she came to the conclusion that Amy resented her, but wondered if


    Corentin saw what happened.


    “Are you hurt?”


    Ashlynn nced at him, feeling wary at the dark expression on his face. “No. I’m fine.”


    “Come. Let me have a look.” He wrapped one arm around her shoulders and took her inside.


    Once Ashlynn sat down on the couch, he stared at her palms. Noticing that there were scratches on


    the skin, he ordered the butler to retrieve the first aid kit.


    Dressed in a perfectly fitting suit, he got down on one knee while staring at her wounds, before


    lowering his head to lick the blood off her palms.

    “Umph…” She scowled in pain. “Don’t…”


    “Does it hurt?” He asked.


    She did not dare to speak.


    The butler returned with the first aid kit and Corentin took some cotton with sanitizer to clean her


    wounds.


    Ashlynn twitched in pain and he blew at her palms. “Better?”


    Despite the gentleness in his every move, she felt chills down her spine as though he was putting


    poison on her skin.


    Amy watched from afar and gaped. ‘Mr. Lloyd likes that little assistant that much?” She thought. ‘He


    even got down on one knee. Is he that obsessed?‘


    “I’ve talked to Anne. I asked her to give you to me and she agreed.”


    “What? That’s not possible.” Ashlynn panicked. “I’m Ms. Vallois‘ assistant. I need to go back to work. I


    can’t stay here!”


    “She’s already agreed,” he repeated, tightening his grip on her hands as the looks in his eyes


    darkened.


    Without another word, Ashlynn’s chest heaved as tears gathered in her eyes.


    ‘Mr. Lloyd is really into her, otherwise he wouldn’t say something like that,‘ Amy thought, how could this


    woman say no to that? Is she crazy? Maybe she’s ying hard to get! How cunning!‘


    The sky had yet to turn dark when Corentin brought Ashlynn back to bed by force. He eagerly scanned


    her up and down as though he was trying to memorize every inch on her body.


    He took off his sses and instantly went back to being Salvatore.


    Salvatore was a ruthless man and had never held back on his urges. He was experienced and had


    always made sure that he was satisfied, leaving Ashlynn exhausted.


    When she eventually found out about what a monster he was, she had nothing but fear left toward him.


    “It’s been five years. We’ve been apart for five years, do you know? When I first saw you in Luton, I


    almost lost control and took you right there and then!” He nted kisses on her neck and bit down to


    leave a trail of marks.
