    Nigel''s phone rang and he went outside to answer it after ncing at the screen of his phone.


    Anne could guess who was calling.

    Shortly after, Nigel returned. "I will go get some food. Anything you want?"

    "No way. You have to eat. Your mom would be worried." Nigel would not allow her to starve herself.


    Anne nodded. "Dad, when are you going back? I can stay here with Mom. Well be fine."

    "Is that really okay??” Anne desperately wanted her father to stay, but did not want him to be ced in

    "Your mom is in a critical condition. They will understand," he said, before heading out to buy food.


    Anne stood still, wondering if Bianca and Dorothy would truly understand. It was clear that Nigel was


    not telling the truth. She knew Bianca and Dorothy all too well and they would be thrilled to learn that


    Sarah was dying, they could not possibly allow Nigel to take care of his former lover.


    It would already be considered surprising if they were not actively stopping him.


    Suddenly, the phone inside her purse started ringing. She had thought that it was from Anthony, as she


    did not think he would allow her to escape out of his control, after all.


    However, she realized that it was an unknown number when she finally had her phone.


    She hesitated, and ended the call without answering. 1


    The person continued to call and Anne proceeded to reject all three calls until the person finally


    stopped.


    She sent Anthony a message. [I''m in Santa N. She''s unconscious right now, so I''m not going


    anywhere."


    Three seconds after the message was sent, Anthony called.


    She answered and heard Anthony''s deep, husky voiceing from the phone. "Next time, call if you


    have something to say. Do you think I''m free to keep an eye for texts?"


    Anne pursed her lips. "Alright. I just want to talk to you about this. My mom is in a critical condition and


    three days might not be enough..."


    "Should I get you toe back now?"


    "Anthony, there''s no one by my mom''s side. As her daughter, I can''t possibly go back to Luton!" She


    pleaded, "My dad is here as well, but he can''t be here forever, or Bianca would be upset."


    Anthony did not respond.


    ''It won''t take much longer. My mom is going to wake up soon! Okay? Please. I will call you everyday to update you, okay?"


    "Is this...an act, just a fake car ident to get away from me?"


    "What?" Anne could not believe that he would suspect such a thing. "If you don''t believe me, send someone here to keep an eye on me.


    Your mom is literallyying on the bed right now!"

    "I won''t. I am grateful that you let mee here," she said sincerely.


    She did not rx until Anthony finally hung up, knowing that he had given her the permission to stay.


    After hanging up, she received a message to her phone from the same unknown number from earlier.
