Chapter 365
Anne was not here alone.
Not only did she tell someone about it, but this was the person he did not want to face the most: Anthony
Marwood!
“The recording is in... Anne‘s phone,” Sarah said it with guilt.
Ron was stunned. He guessed it right!
Anne could not believe what she heard. “When... When did you do it?”
“That time when we had lunch together, I did it when you went to the toilet,” Sarah said.
Anne took out her phone and saw the recording in her phone. If it were not because Sarah imed so,
she would not have opened it. Ron wanted to snatch her phone away but was restrained by Anthony‘s
bodyguards. “Anthony, don‘t listen to her. It is all fake!” Ron desperately exined. “Fake or real, I will
make my own judgment.” Anthony‘s tone was cold. He looked so intimidating in the wide space.
Anne immediately yed the recording, and Sarah and Ron‘s conversation could clearly be heard in the
quiet space. Anthony stood still where he was, like an ice statue. Ron‘s face was already pale from the
very beginning and did not have any sign of blood by now.
He no longer dared to look straight into Anthony‘s face and exined desperately, “Anthony, I tried to
stop your grandfather back then, but to no avail. I was very afraid too, but that was my own father. What
can I do? I can only hide the truth.”
“Not only did you hide the truth, you even married my mom!” Anne did not spare h. “You are not only
hurting yourself but also hurting everyone else! You better tell us the truth now, for instance, that you did
not touch my mother before you guys were ma
“Yes, I did not. Therefore, I did not betray your mother technically. It was because your mother kept on
annoying me for no reason, I could not stand it, and so I decided to distract myself out there. Anthony,
you have to believe me. I never wanted to kill your mother! This...
This was your grandpa‘s idea!” Ron defended himself.

Anthony‘s ck eyes looked at him menacingly. “Call him.”
Everyone understood him immediately by whom he meant with ‘him‘. Ron was hesitant, but he still pulled
out his phone anyway and was about to call his old man. Anne walked to Sarah, intending to untie her,
except the bodyguard blocked her before she could even get near her.
She turned to look at Anthony, but Anthony seemed to have all his attention on the phone call. His aura
was too scarily intimidating, silencing Anne, who wanted to ask her questions.
She could only stay put and only ask after things get verified. After all, she thought that Anthony should
not have any reason to detain herself and her mother.
The call was connected, and she could hear Mawby‘s voice. He sounded like he had just woken up from
an afternoon nap and was a little weak. “What‘s up?”
The call was put on speaker, and the entire space was so tense that no single sound was made.
“I...” Ron stuttered. “About the Marwood Group?” Mawby snickered calmly. “You gave your shares to
Sarah. Do you really think i did not know about it? I am no longer in charge of thepany, and you
need to solve your own problem. Don‘t expect me to clean up behind you.” “No...” Ron took a quick look
at Anthony and said, “Yes, it was about Julie. Sarah knew about it. She... She had even recorded it.
What should we do?” “What?” Mawby‘s voice suddenly became very much alive. “How did she know
about it? Did you tell her about it?”
“I was drunk and identally slipped it up...”
“Ron, you have never failed to disappoint me!” Mawby was enraged.
“I...”
“What did you say?” “I said you pushed Julie. That‘s it.” “Make sure to shut her up!” Mawby was
exasperated. “Dad, you did this. I have nothing to do with this,” Ron said. “Who had I done it for? Are you
trying to avoid responsibilities? If Anthony knew about it, things would be ugly,” Mawby said.
Ron wished to tell him that things had already gotten ugly.
“Who else knew about it other than Sarah?” Mawby asked.
Ron took one look at Anne and said, “I guess no one.” “You stay put. I will handle Sarah.” Mawby hung
up immediately after saying that.
