Chapter 2259
Right up to the doorstep of the Jarvis residence, Magdalen chuckled, "Here we are, let''s hop out!"
Sylvia nced through the car window at the grand, old-fashioned courtyard, pausing for a moment before grabbing the car door to step out.
At the entrance, Old Wade was already waiting, his face breaking into a smile as he approached, "Miss Magdalen has arrived!"
Magdalen stepped forward, "Old Mr. Wade, you shouldn''t have bothered toe out yourself, especially in this chilly weather. Let''s head inside."
Old Wade replied with augh, "Family deserves a proper wee, it''s tradition."
Magdalen, touched, turned back to Sylvia, "Let''s go inside, we''ve arrived just in time for lunch!"
Sylvia, without asking anything, nodded slightly and walked forward.
The Jarvis residence was well-known throughout C City, and even folks from J City were aware of it. As Sylvia and Magdalen made their way through the colonnade towards the main hall, admiring the meticulously arranged, vintage charm of the courtyard, Sylvia''s fingers curled slightly.
Before even entering, Magdalen called out loudly, "Grandpa, I''m here!"
In the main hall, Old Mr. Jarvis was busy writing, while Estelle was helping him organize the books on the shelf. Both stopped at the sound of her voice, with Old Mr. Jarvismenting, "We hear her before we see her, always timing her visits perfectly with mealtime."
No sooner had he finished speaking, Magdalen entered the room.
"Grandpa!" Dressed brightly, Magdalen''s presence instantly added a ssh of color to the room''s rustic charm.
Estelle''s gaze, however, quickly shifted to Sylvia standing behind Magdalen, her lips curving into a faint smile.
By this point, Sylvia wasn''t surprised to see Estelle.
Magdalen had kept her client''s information a secret, and heading straight to this ce upon reaching C City, it was hard to imagine finding a second residence like this one in C City.Content protected by N?v/el(D)rama.Org.
"Very well, very well!" Old Mr. Jarvisughed affectionately, looking up at the girl behind his granddaughter, his expression turning to one of faint recognition. It felt as if he had seen her before, but perhaps due to his age, he couldn''t quite ce where.
"Grandpa, I''ve brought a friend over," Magdalen said, holding Sylvia''s hand. "I''ll let her introduce herself."
Sylvia, facing the elderly man, felt a sudden warmth and a hint of nervousness, "Good day, Old Mr. Jarvis, I''m Sylvia."
"Sylvia," Old Mr. Jarvis echoed, nodding slowly with a smile, "That''s a lovely name. We''ve spoken on the phone, haven''t we?"
Sylvia''s cheeks flushed slightly, "Yes."
"When did you two speak on the phone?" Magdalen eximed, surprised. "What else don''t I know?
from me."
Grandpa, you can''t keep
Old Mr. Jarvis chuckled, "Well, that''s something I really can''t share."
"Hmm?" Magdalen''s curiosity piqued.
Sylvia smiled, "I''ll tell you about it when we have a moment."
Convinced, Magdalen then turned to hug Estelle, "E, I''ve missed you. J City feels soulless without you."
Estelle patted her shoulder, smiling mildly, "You''ve got plenty of spirit without me, losing a bit won''t hurt."
"Ugh, you''re no fun!" Magdalen yfully hit Estelle, whispering in her ear, "I''ve brought the person, now it''s all on you!" Estelle raised an eyebrow, "Alright, your job here is done!"
Magdalen, taken aback, joked, "What, no hearty meal before sending me off? Shouldn''t we at least eat before I go?" Estelle couldn''t help but chuckle.
Meanwhile, Old Mr. Jarvis had the

Sylvia smiled gently, "No, I moved there three years ago."
Old Mr. Jarvis, recalling what Gabriel had mentioned about the two knowing each other for quite some time, found himself more curious about how such a refined youngdy ended up in a ce like Tripe.
He became even more intrigued, "What about your parents?"
