Chapter 1855
Graduating with flying colors, she hadnded a coveted position at the Lamont Group, working
tirelessly by Jonathan''s side for years. And yet, Estelle, the ck sheep of the Macins, had swooped
in and stolen the limelight!
Estelle, that temptress!
Sabina''s hands clenched into fists, her face contorted with envy as she watched the passionate kiss
between the two, hidden behind a decorative shrub. It wasn''t until Estelle gently pushed Jonathan
away and they left hand in hand that Sabina emerged, inhaling the cool night air before heading back
to the banquet hall.
Upon her return, Elizabeth waved her over. "Sabina,e sit by grandma!"
Elizabeth had saved her a seat, and as Sabina sat down, Elizabeth took her hands and said, "You look
a bit pale, dear. Is it too chilly outside?"
Sabina forced a smile. "It''s alright."
"Our Sabina has always been sensitive to the cold. A little breeze and she turns as white as a ghost,"
Natalia said, pouring Sabina some hot tea. "Drink up, warm your bones."
Sabina sipped the tea, then looked up abruptly. "Estelle, even though she''s estranged from the
Macins, she''s still their daughter. You can''t just ignore her behavior."
Simone was taken aback, unsure why Sabina was bringing up Estelle out of the blue. She asked
hesitantly, "What about her?"
Sabina''s tone was icy. "I''ve seen her with different men on several asions."
The room fell silent, the atmosphere growing awkward.
Natalia''s voice held a mocking edge. "Really? That''s quite the story."
Sabina, her gaze locked on Simone, spoke with an air of superiority, almost usatory. "Estelle is your
responsibility. You can''t just focus on Carme. Carme’s prospects are already dim; do you want
Estelle to end up the same way?"
Simone''s face reddened with difort. "I would intervene if I could, but she doesn''t listen to me!"
"If you can''t even manage your own daughter, how can you support my Jonathan in the business
world?" Sabina challenged without a hint of politeness.
Simone''s expression darkened, confused by Sabina''s sudden aggressiveness.
Before Simone could retort, Elizabeth chimed in, "Sabina has a point!"
Simone felt her anger rise, her face a mix of purple and green with the effort of holding it back.
Sabina pressed on, "Estelle is no longer young. You may not have reined her in before, but marriage is
a matter you must address. It''s better to find her a match quickly before she brings any more shame to
the Macin name."
Leonie, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up. "Speaking of age, Sabina, aren’t you the oldest of
your generation? You don''t have a boyfriend, so why are you so concerned about Estelle? As a
designer, it''s normal for her to interact with men. And you, educated abroad, when did you be so
narrow-minded?"
Sabina’s face paled, her eyes shooting daggers at Leonie. "Aunt Leonie seems quite happy to sing
Estelle''s praises now!"
Leonie''s face turned cold. "Sabina, is that how a younger family member should speak? Don''t hide
behind your education; have you learned nothing about respect and filial piety?"
Sabina''s face flushed with anger. "I''m talking about Estelle. What does this have to do with you?"
Leonieughed coldly. "I could ask you the same. What''s Estelle to you, and what right do you have to
meddle in her life?"
Leonie, known for her sharp tongue, left Sabina struggling for aeback, her once haughty features

now twisted with resentment.
Natalia frowned. "What are you doing, Leonie? Sabina is still the younger one here. Why are you being
so harsh?"
Leonie shot back sarcastically, "You''re quick to defend your daughter. Estelle''s even younger than her.
Why not speak up for Estelle?"
Natalia retorted, "Sabina''s just looking out for Estelle''s best interests!"
"Don''t dress it up so nobly. Would you say you’re looking out for Sabina''s best interests if someone
else were speaking ill of her?"
Leonie stood her ground against Natalia and her daughter, leaving them speechless with her biting
retorts.
