Chapter 1835
"I was kinda ticked off at him. I hadn''t spoken to him for a month, and then one afternoon, after ss,
there he was, waiting for me outside the building. When he saw me, he asked if I wanted him to ''take
responsibility'' that evening. I yed it cool and said no. He got all serious and said it would be his ''first

time.'' I couldn''t help it; I burst outughing. ''What, you think being a virgin is something to be proud of?''
I asked him. He just kept staring at me, and I couldn''t take those puppy dog eyes anymore. I ran over,
wrapped my arms around him, and kissed him right there in front of everyone. From that moment on,
we were an item, and we''ve been together all these years. After he graduated, he took over the family
business. There were plenty of gorgeous actresses in thepany, and women throwing themselves
at him left and right—some for his status, others for his looks. But he told me once he''d been tackled, it
was for life. This year he''s thirty, and I''m twenty-seven, and we''re finally getting hitched!"
Magdalen''s eyes sparkled as she looked at Estelle, "Eleven years we''ve known each other, never had
eyes for anyone else. Like I told you, from the moment we met, I knew he was ''the one.''"
Estelle had known Magdalen since the days she was with Morrison, and over the years, she had
witnessed the struggles and the deep bond between them. Now, hearing the story of how they met, she
understood the yful love and affection they shared.
Perhaps, the way those women chased after Morrison, and how Magdalen would step in, was their own
little understanding and source of amusement!
Touched, Estelle smiled warmly, "Entering marriage is just the start of another journey. Cherishing each
other from beginning to end is the most beautiful fairy tale in love."
Magdalen reached out and took Estelle''s hand, "We''ve witnessed each other''s love stories, and now
we''ll witness each other''s marriages and watch our children grow. I''ll be waiting for you at the altar, and
you and Jonathan better hurry up and catch up!"
Estelleughed, "We will!"
Magdalen hugged her, "E, I love you. No matter what stage of life I''m in, you''ll always be
irreceable in my heart."
Estelle''s eyes shone clear and bright, like stars in the night sky, "The feeling''s mutual!"
Looking up at the stars, Magdalen feltplete. Her beloved was ready to walk her down the aisle,
and her dearest friend was with her on this extraordinary night.
When the two returned to the Sampson residence after the party, the guests had left, but the vi was
still brightly lit. Mrs. Sampson, too excited to sleep, was checking the next day''s arrangements with the
butler.
Seeing Estelle and Magdalen return, Mrs. Sampson ordered the kitchen to prepare ate-night snack
for them, and once they finished, she ushered them off to bed.
Mr. Sampson said, "I wanted to have a word with Magdalen!"
Mrs. Sampson frowned, "There will be plenty of time for that after tomorrow. It''ste, and the makeup
artist ising early. If you don''t get to bed now, you won''t sleep a wink tonight."
Linking her arm with Estelle''s, Magdalen dered, "Tonight, E and I are bunking together!"
Mrs. Sampsonughed, "Just don''t let your insomnia rub off on E. She needs her beauty sleep!"
"Got it!" Magdalen said, pulling Estelle upstairs while yfullyining, "You see, other moms get
all teary and clingy when their daughters get married. Not mine. She''s been grinning so much her teeth
are practically sunburned. It''s like she can''t wait to get rid of me!"
Estelle chuckled, "Maybe in your mom''s eyes, you''ve been married off for a while now!"
Magdalen pulled a face that was a cross between augh and a grimace.
