Chapter 1790
Bard introduced, "Good day, Gina. I''m the head of OrbitaTech Ventures, and this is our matriarch, Mrs.
James!"
Gina, lost in her thoughts, barely caught Bard''s words. She quickly blurted out, "I don''t care who you
are; thepensation for the fire has nothing to do with us. You should go talk to Emily!"
Bard''s face stiffened, helplessly ncing at Mrs. James.
Mrs. James appeared mildly surprised, smiling gently as she asked, "Why should we go talk to Emily?
Shawn is your husband, and Emily isn''t his only child!"
Bonnie rushed forward, "But Emily already signed an agreement with us! We will take care of our mom,
and Emily will deal with her dad''s affairs, including thepensation to yourpany!"
Mrs. James turned to Bard, to which he responded with a faint nod.
Mrs. James hadn''t initiallye for this matter, but the Sullivans surprised her with their deration.
"How could you put so much burden on Emily, a young girl?"
Bonnie quickly replied, “We don''t care. It’s her own request!"
Gina chimed in, "She should find a way. She has many wealthy friends. Let her borrow money and
Mrs. James found it unbelievable, "She borrows money, and she doesn''t have to pay it back? I heard
she even has a child. As a mother, you don''t care about her?"
Gina looked a bit embarrassed, “We don''t have money, either. Even if we wanted to help."
Mrs. James gave Gina a sarcastic look, "Mothers generally care deeply for their daughters, don''t they?
I''ve seen many people disregard their children for their own benefit, but you''ve still broadened my
horizons.."
Bonnie, with a sharp and sarcastic tone, retorted, "Who are you to meddle in our family affairs? If you
wantpensation, go talk to Emily!"
Mrs. James asked Gina, "So, you''re certain that you''ve severed ties with Emily?"
Bonnie quickly responded, "Yes!"
"Lt wasn''t asking you!" Mrs. James gave Bonnie a cold look.
Bonnie felt a wave of pressure under Mrs. James''s gaze. Her face looking unpleasant. Though she
refrained from speaking.
Gina''s face changed from green to red and back again, she managed to say, "Yes, we''ve signed the
agreement. From now on, Emily''s matters have nothing to do with our family!"
Mrs. James, with a calm demeanor, nodded and smiled, “Alright, I understand now“
She turned to Bard, "Let''s go."
"Of course, Madam,’ Bard courteously stepped aside.
Without wasting any more time, Mrs. James turned and walked away.
Gina and Bonnie exchanged nces, surprised to see the people from OrbitaTech Ventures leaving so

Once they stepped out of the elevator, Bard asked, “Madam, why were you looking for Emily?"
Mrs. James appeared thoughtful, replying in a deep voice, “I originally had another matter to address,
