That evening, Emily received the three hundred thousand dors from Wilson, and then she called
Betty, asking her if she needed moneytely.

you under my name,” Emilyughed, “Wilson has your best. interests at heart.”
Betty’sughter was gentle, mixed with a touch of shyness. “No need. I can figure it out on my own.”
Tve already agreed!” Emily replied cheerily, “Just pretend that you don’t know about it and consider it a
loan from me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to exin it to Wilson.”
After some thought, Betty agreed, “As soon as I get my money, I’ll repay him right away”
“Great, I’ll transfer the three hundred thousand dors to you now,” Emily said.
“Thank you, Emily.”
“We’re friends, no need for politeness!”
After a bit more small talk, Emily hung up and quickly transferred the three hundred thousand dors to
Betty
Once the money was sent, Emily let out a sigh of relief.

The woman took Ms. Simmons aside and whispered. “Ms. Sullivan and Mr. James had a disagreement.
Mr. James wants to make amends, so he sent me to bring gifts for Ms. Sullivan.”
She handed the dems to Ms. Simmons.
Ms. Simmons was somewhat hesitant, “I can’t make this decision, I need to ask Emily.”
“You’re the nanny who looks after Ms. Sullivan’s child, right? Mr. James doesn’t want Ms. Sullivan to
know about this. She’s still mad at him and if she finds out,
she won’t ept it.”
The woman winked at Ms. Simmons, “This is Mr. James’ heartfelt gesture. It would be better for both of
them if you epted the gifts discreetly.”.
“Well, Ms Simmons hesitated, “Is this really appropriate?”
“Why wouldn’t it be? Mr. James is doing this entirely for Ms. Sullivan. If you ept the gifts on her
behalf, it would give them a chance to reconciless a couple in the future” the woman nced at Kya,
“It’s tough for Ms. Sullivan to raise a child on her own. I believe you’d want her to find some support,
wouldn’t you?”
Ms Simmons knew that Emily and Charlie had recently broken up after a major argument, and Charlie
hadn’t been around for quite some time
Emily hadn’t shown much on the surface, but Ms. Simmons could tell she was hurting

Ms Simmons considered for a moment and agreed, “Alright, I’ll ept the gifts on Emily’s behalf.
