Gina said busily, “No need, you all have jobs, let me stay and take care of her!”
“Mom, are you treating me like an outsider and not part of the family?” Crystal smiled sweetly, “I just too
k all my annual leave, and I can take a few more days off. You have a job
too, so you guys go ahead and do your thing, and I’ll take care of Emily!”
Gina felt a bit awkward. Although Crystal and Elliott were living together, they hadn’t officially gotten ma
rried yet, so having Crystal take care of Emily now felt a bit embarrassing.

“It’s really fine, I’m Emily’s sister–inw, and taking care of her is something I should do anyway. Let’s
just settle this!” Crystalughed and got busy.
At dinner time, Crystal mentioned that she would be staying to take care of Emily.
Both Emily and Elliott were surprised. Elliott was surprised because Crystal indeed had taken her annu
al leave, but the two of them had nned to go on a trip, so he didn’t know
why she changed her mind all of a sudden.
That was fine though, since he hadn’t found a reason to take a leave from
work. Since they were not going on a trip anymore, he didn’t need to ask for leave.
Why was Crystal suddenly so nice to her? Emily wondered.
With Crystal’s determination and enthusiasm, Emily couldn’t refuse, and so the matter was settled.
Elliott went to get Crystal’s clothes in the afternoon, and Gina went back to her rented house.
Taking advantage of this time, Emily arranged Crystal’s living space, telling her that she could use any r
oom except the master bedroom and the study.
Crystal casually asked, “This house belongs to that Mr. James, right? Does hee by often?”
Emily thought Crystal was
suspicious of her rtionship with Charlie and hurriedly said, “Charlie won’te over regrly.”
“Oh!” Crystal was a bit disappointed and said
to Emily, “You’ve had a long day, go lie down on the bed. Just call me if you need anything.”
After Emily went to rest in her room, Crystal boldly took a look around the house. She saw wine racks fi
lled with various wines, picked a bottle at random, checked its price online, and was immediately stunn
ed.
In the
evening, Estelle arrived at Emily’s ce with soup and food, intending to take care of her. To her surpri
se, she found Crystal sitting on the couch, engrossed in watching a show.
“Estelle!” Emily greeted her with a smile, “You didn’t have to buy groceries, my sister–in–
Crystal approached them, taking the soup and food from Estelle’s hands with a cheerful demeanor. “No
need to cook tonight!”
She carried the food to the kitchen to heat it up, leaving Estelle with a lingering feeling that things were
n’t as simple as they seemed.
With Crystal apanying Emily, Estelle didn’t stay long. She chatted with
Emily for a while and then went back upstairs.
In the evening, Jonathan took her to dinner at Courtney’s, and Estelle mentioned Crystal was downstair
s taking care of Emily. Jonathan had a meaningful expression after hearing this.
The next day, Carson heard that Emily had been discharged and wanted to visit her. Emily was afraid t
hat he would misunderstand her living in Charlie’s house, so she made an excuse that her sister–in–
But not long after hanging up the phone, Charlie suddenly came by.
Crystal didn’t expect Charlie to show
up unexpectedly. She was still wearing her pajamas and hadn’t put on makeup. She quickly hid in the r
oom.
Charlie brought Emily many supplements and asked if she needed a carer to look after her.
Emily hurriedly said, “No need, my sister–inw is taking care of me these days.”
Charlie sat on the couch and looked around, asking, “Where’s your sister–inw?”
Emily hadn’t seen Crystal for a while now, so she smiled and said, “She might be in her room.”
As the two of them were talking, Crystal came out of her room, her makeup done, and she had
changed into a Chanel dress. The dress wrapped around her voluptuous body, making her look
extremely s*xy.
