Andrew tossed a green–
haired guy onto the ground, panting as he stood up. “This green freak just said that Nora is the one wh
o got them to harass Emily!”
Yvonne angrily used, “Nora, how could you do such a thing?”
Nora cried heartbrokenly, “I was mad that Emily took Mr. James away. I just wanted to get back
at her and scare her. If you hadn’te, I wouldn’t have bullied her!”
Estelle looked at her coldly, “Emily has already been bullied like this, and you’re still making excuses?”
Nora, her tears streaming down her face, attempted to conceal her sinister gaze behind her hands. Her
expression reflected deep remorse as she repeats, “I only wanted to frighten her!”
“Yvonne, if the police get involved, my life will be ruined, and my father
will surely punish me!” Nora desperately clung to Yvonne’s hand, sobbing miserably. “Yvonne, please h
elp me beg for mercy. I promise I’ll never do it again!”
Yvonne nced at Charlie, appearing indecisive, and then turned to Jonathan. “Jonathan, those respo
nsible for harming Emily have already been dealt with, and I will ensure that Nora faces the
consequences under my aunt’s discipline. Shouldn’t we leave it at that?”
Nora continued to cry, her voice filled with sorrow. “Mr. James, I deeply
regret my actions. Please forgive me for the affection we shared in the past!”
Estelle looked up and spoke coldly, “If we hadn’te, or didn’t arrive in time, have you ever thought of
stopping the bullying of Emily?”
Yvonne slowly said, “Fortunately, Emily isn’t hurt!”
Estelle’s demeanor remained frosty as she retorts, “The extent of Emily’s injuries will be determined by
a medical examination. But when ites to addressing this incident, no one besides the police has th
e authority to grant Nora leniency!”
Yvonne’splexion subtly shifed, and she furrowed her brow. “Estelle, you misunderstand me. Emily i
s also my friend, and witnessing her being mistreated infuriates me just as much!”
Jonathan suddenly spoke, “Then what are we waiting for? Call the police!”
Charlie had already dialed the emergency number, briefly exined what happened, and reported the l
ocation.
Nora continued crying louder, seeking help from Yvonne again. Yvonne signaled to her, and Nora hurrie
dly took out her phone to send a message to her dad for help.
Soon, an ambnce and police arrived at Blue Oasis. The police initially thought the

victims, but after questioning, they learnt they were the perpetrators.
The police took
pictures of the scene, and the nurses put Emily on a stretcher. Estelle, Charlie, and the others apa
nied her to the hospital, while Josiah and Andrew followed to make a statement at the police station.
Emily’s
body was covered in blood, making it unclear where she’s injured. She’s also wrapped in Carson’s

jacket, trembling all over, gripping Estelle’s hand tightly.
Manley and Nte were about to leave Blue Oasis when they saw ambnces and police cars outsid
e. They stopped to take a look.
He didn’t see Estelle, just Charlie, Jonathan, and the others protecting the person on the stretcher, getti
ng into the ambnce and hurrying into their car to follow.
Manley immediately called the hotel manager, “What happened?”
The manager
replied, “There was an incident on the eighth floor. A girl was harassed by a group of men. Blue Oasis n
eeds to cooperate with the investigation.”
A sense of unease filled Manley’s heart. Could it be Estelle that has Jonathan and Charlie worried?
Nte asked Manley, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Manley said with a light smile. “It’ste. I’ll have the driver take you home. I’ve got things to d
o. I’ll call you tomorrow!”
“Oh, okay!” Nte agreed, feeling very disappointed. Manley had asked her
out twice, and although their rtionship wasn’t clear, she knew she’d fallen for him and prepared hers
elf to give everything to him tonight. But he had her sent home by the driver.
Manley started another car and noticed the name of the hospital on the ambnce. He stepped on the
gas, speeding towards the hospital.
