Courtney nodded and handed the drinks to the three of them with a smile, “How do you
like the taste?”
Emily took a deep breath, “It smells so good.”
“There’s cake today too, I’ll bring it to you guyster.”
Courtney chatted with them briefly and then went back to the kitchen to get things ready.
While the three of them were eating, Emily received a call from Carson. His voice was cheerful, “Emily,
are you off work? Come hang out! Charlie and Yvonne are here too.”
Emily looked at Estelle across the
table and declined, “Nah, you guys have fun! Estelle and I are having dinner together.”
Carson immediately said, “Perfect! Where are you guys? I’lle pick you up!”
“Really, it’s not necessary. I have to get up early for work tomorrow. Sorry,” Emily declined again.
Carsonughed, “You don’t have to go to bed this early even if you have work! Want me to have Charli
e call you?”

lowered his voice, “Jonah, are you with Estelle? We’re at Blue Oasis, and I just saw Manley bringing th
at hot girl from Art Studios, J City into a private room. I think you should bring Estelle here to see that M
anley’s a scumbag!”
A trace of darkness shed in Jonathan’s eyes, and he responded indifferently, “Mhm, got it.”
He hung up the phone and returned it to Emily.
He checked the time, “It’s eight o’clock. Let’s finish eating and then go to Blue Oasis for a bit. I’ll take y
ou guys home before ten, so it won’t affect your ns tomorrow. How’s that?”
Estelle looked at him in surprise, not sure why he suddenly changed his mind.
Jonathan asked, “you don’t wanna go?”
Estelle agreed and asked Emily, “do you?”
