Chapter 248
At half past ten, Estelle returned to the Royal Mansion and received the information sent by Blue Hawk.
The boss was named Austin, who had an only daughter, Leah Burke. The information included
his background and rags–to–
riches story. The jewelry brand he founded had a bit of fame in J City, and its design came from Snowy
Studios, which was their big selling point.
Next up was Nics‘ information, a guy from J City whose parents were ordinary workers.
Something unexpected was that the
Hester family and the Haney family had some distant rtion. Nics‘ grandmother and Burke’s mothe
r were cousins, so technically, Nics should call Burke his uncle.
It was unclear whether Nics working in thepany had anything to do with their family rtionship.
Apart from the rtive part, everything else was just as Estelle had guessed. The girl she saw today sh
ould be the daughter of the jewelrypany’s boss, Leah Burke.

After reading the information on thepany, Estelle called Jason.
Jason exined, “Inman is responsible for the design of the jewelry, but sometimes their family promot
es their brand using KING’s name, and the design studio doesn’t bother with it.”
After he finished speaking, he asked, “What’s wrong? If you don’t like this, can immediately have
them remove any marketing materials involving
you.”
Estelleughed and said, “No need for now, I’ll contact you if there’s any changes.”
“Alright.” Jason took a sip of water and asked, “How’s it going with your boyfriend? Can I meet him yet?
”
“Bro, I’m working now, let me hang up and I’ll call you backter!”
Not waiting for Jason to response, Estelle hung up the phone directly.
On the other side, Jason looked at the hung–
up phone and snorted withughter. It’s eleven at night, and what work is she doing? What’s wrong wit
h the boyfriend she had been dating that she doesn’t even dare to mention him?
When Jonathan came back at nearly midnight, he saw that Estelle was still awake, leaning on the bed
and reading a book.
He walked over, took the book from her hand, and ced it aside. He pinched her chin and kissed her.
“Why aren’t you asleep? Were you waiting. for me?”
Estelle frowned, sniffed his clothes, and said casually while hiding her excitement, “You’ve been
smoking?”
Jonathan chuckled, “No, someone else was, I’m going to take a shower right now!”
Estelle raised her eyebrows, “Why should I believe you?”
“Don’t you believe me?” Jonathan pinched her chin and leaned in for a kiss.
Caught off guard, Estelle involuntarily tilted her head back, leaning on the pillow and responding.
After a deep kiss, the man’s eyes darkened, “Do you believe me now?”
Estelle took a shallow breath, bing sober in the haze, and
her eyes could not hide the disappointment, “Don’t you want to have a smoke when you see others sm
oking? They say it’s addictive, right?”
The man supported himself with both hands on either side of her. He had taken off his coat and opened
two buttons on his ck shirt when he came in, showing his tight, well–
toned muscles and oozing sex appeal. He had had a drink and whispered to the girl, “Nothing could get
me addicted, except for you.”
Estelle looked
at him with a bit of surprise, their eyes met. Probably because of his words, the atmosphere suddenly b
ecame a bit ambiguous.
The two of them were together because of an agreement, acting like lovers, and some things had alrea
dy exceeded the boundaries. But no one mentioned it, as if all the tenderness and happiness were just
by–products
Estelle averted her gaze for a moment and pretended to be rxed, “That’s not your style, it’s somethin
g Charlie would say.”
Jonathan didn’t say anything else, but lowered his head to kiss her lips, “I’ll go take a shower first.”
“Okay.” Estelle nodded gently.
The man got up and went to the bathroom, standing under the shower and letting the water run
over him. With
his eyes closed, his mind was filled with Estelle’s lovely expression when she looked up at him with her
head resting on the pillow.
Before Estelle, he had always believed that love was an optional thing for him, and he would never be i
nfatuated with it like Charlie. But now, no matter howte he was out or where
he was, he would alwayse back to her.
