Chapter 136 Treating the Children


    The children''s faces reflected a mix of worry and excitement, though most of them wore concerned expressions. Despite their reluctance to accept Aleshia''s treatment, they ultimately agreed to it after being encouraged by their trusted brother.


    Aleshia approached the sitting children and chatted with them while Lucia focused on healing. As Aleshia attempted to make small talk, Lucia proceeded with the healing process. Daniel was there examining the children closely each time she healed them. When he noticed visible improvements and no ill effects, he allowed her to proceed to the next child. As Aleshia finished healing the last children in the group, a few others on the opposite side of the room, who had been sleeping, began to wake up groggily. When they walked into the next room, they were surprised to discover the small event taking place.


    Each time this situation arose, Daniel introduced Aleshia, explaining her role and how she would help everyone. Eventually, they would sit down and join the children still waiting for treatment.     After Aleshia had treated all the children in the room, Daniel, who had examined them, approached her to express his gratitude. "It seems that all the children you''ve treated are responding well. Although they are recovering at different rates, I assume you''re adjusting their recovery based on their well-being." He carefully examined each child before turning his attention back to Aleshia with a serious expression. "We will now enter through the other door that we passed earlier. Again, we appreciate everything you''ve done. Please prepare yourself for what you will see."


    Daniel moved to the door, and Aleshia followed. Just as she was about to step outside, she heard rustling sounds and the children thanking her. "Thank you very much, Miss Aleshia." When Aleshia heard their appreciative words echo through the walls, she felt happiness at their thanks.


    They both stood in the hallway. Daniel interrupted her enjoyment and warned her again, "Alright now, brace yourself, Aleshia. Be prepared for an unsightly sight." With that, he opened the door to the next room.


    When Daniel opened the door, Aleshia peeked inside and saw a room marked by numerous bloodstains on the walls, ceiling, and floor. All of them were dried. Aleshia was disturbed by the gruesome sight and felt apprehensive about what she would find. She believed she would discover the injured children sleeping on the partitioned side of the room.
