Chapter 880 Alexander Summons
Just as Emrys was lost in confusion, that voice from before suddenly echoed again, “Ruben, bring the
inheritor of Sword King to see me.”
Ruben’s body jolted sharply, and he responded with utmost reverence. “Yes, Old Mr. Youngblood!”
“Devon, Caden, you twoe over here as well.”
“Understood!” Devon and Caden had no choice but toply, though their faces were tinged with
difort.
From what they gathered from Alexander’s words, it seemed this meeting was specifically arranged to
summon Emrys, and they were merely there to observe, which wasn’t good.
Ruben didn’t even have time to check on his son’s injuries. He dared not dy a moment longer and
immediately said to Emrys, “Mr. Griffins, pleasee with me!”
Emrys, too, was intrigued to meet the individual who had achieved absolute–phase of Golden Elixir
Stage, and thus, he nodded in agreement.
During the journey, Emrys asked, “Mr. Ruben, could you tell me about this Old Mr. Youngblood?”
A look of reverence immediately appeared on Ruben’s face as he said, “Old Mr. Youngblood, he is an
extraordinarily powerful individual, having reached the absolute- phase of Golden Elixir Stage. He
usually prefers to stay out of the limelight, so if he has summoned you today, it’s likely a good thing.”
Clearly, that was not the answer Emrys was hoping for as he spoke again.
“Mr. Ruben,” Emrys began, no longer beating around the bush. “What I mean to ask is, with a powerful
figure like Old Mr. Youngblood present, why would your Sword King Sect still disband? Didn’t he care?”
“This…” Ruben frowned.
After a pause, he said great respect and tact, “Actually, Old Mr. Youngblood was not originally from our
Sword King Sect. He stayed to look after our sect because he had made a promise to Heavenly Sword
King. He is a man of his word. As long as the foundation of our Sword King Sect remained unscathed,
he generally wouldn’t interfere much. Even though Sword King Sect is now divided into three, its
foundation remains

intact. Regardless of the divisions and reunions, these are internal matters of our Sword King Sect.
There’s no need to trouble Old Mr. Youngblood with these concerns.”
However, the truth was that Alexander, who was once a defeated opponent of Heavenly Sword King,
had sworn a venomous oath before their duel. He vowed that if he were to lose, he would spend his
entire life guarding Sword King Sect.
The oue was clear as day. He had lost and thus, he stayed.
Later on, Heavenly Sword King, apanied by a group of experts, crossed Mount Jacaster.
Alexander initially thought, “Well, you’ve left, haven’t you? Then I might as well guard this ce for
another couple of years before following you. After all, in the vast expanse beyond Mount Jacaster, it’s
highly unlikely that I’d have the misfortune of running into you again, using me of breaking my
promises, right?”
Initially, that was exactly what Alexander had in mind. However, just as he was about to leave, things
went south. Mount Jacaster abruptly closed off, leaving him unable to find an exit. He was trapped with
no way out.
After aimlessly wandering with nowhere to go, he eventually found himself back at Sword King Sect.
He convinced himself that he returned because he was keeping a promise as a man of integrity, and it
had absolutely nothing to do with the closure of Mount Jacaster.
Thus, Alexander decided to stay behind, but he had little interest in the affairs of Sword King Sect, so
most of the time, he turned a blind eye.
Thus, when the usually indifferent Alexander suddenly expressed his desire to meet with Emrys that
day, it left Ruben and the other two quite taken aback.

The group meandered along the mountain path, eventually reaching the outskirts of the territory of
Three Sword Sects. There stood a solitary, striking peak designated as a private forbidden area.
Alexander usually resided at the top of that mountain.
It perfectly faced the distant Sword King Mountain.
Naturally, Alexander had chosen that spot himself. It was level with the statue of the
up, Sword King atop Sword King Mountain, a reflection of his state of mind. To sum it this mindset was,
“While you were away, I was wildly ranting. If only you hadn’t left so early, I would have loved to have
another round with you.”
Atop the solitary, picturesque peak, there wasn’t a sharp protrusion as one might expect. Instead, there
was arge expanse of tnd. It was as if someone had taken a sword and horizontally sliced off the
mountain’s summit, leaving it remarkably level.

A minimalist square courtyard stood elegantly in its midst.
It was unclear whether it was due to Alexander’s penchant for thrill–seeking, but he had deliberately
constructed the main entrance of his courtyard residence right on the edge of a cliff. All that was left
was a narrow path, barely half a meter wide.
