Lucian thought Xandros was fooling around with women in his tent.
“King Lucian, that’s not it. Mr. Xandros has been captured by people from Imperial Beast City,” Remus
uttered with an ashamed expression.
“What?” Lucian leaped to his feet abruptly in incredulity. “What did you say?”
“I said Mr. Xandros has been captured by someone from Imperial Beast City,” Remus repeated in an
undertone with his head bowed.
“How did that happen? Didn’t anyone notice someone from Imperial Beast City sneaking into our
camp? Are all those on patrol dead? Who’s on duty tonight? I’ll have his head!” Lucian bellowed.
His initial impression was that someone from Imperial Beast City had taken Xandros away while the
latter was in his tent.
“King Lucian, I apanied Mr. Xandros to the outskirts of Imperial Beast City and ran into their
people. Mr. Xandros ended up getting caught by them.” Left with no alternative, Remus could only
recount everything that happened to Lucian.
