control as if it wanted to absorb the entire universe.

thousand Forbidden Spells could ascend to the fourth level or above in such a short amount of time. He
was somewhat afraid of such a rapid improvement speed too. Moreover, as Shelly mentioned, he didn’t
really have a say in the twin lotus turning demonic.

“Shelly, you have to take responsibility!”
“If I turn demonic too, you’re the first one I’d go after.”
“We’ll just have to be demons together.”

“Thanks a lot. If it weren’t for you, why would I be this way? With a whole bloody lotus flower
growing out of the back of my skull, no less!”
Shelly smiled, not puffing herself in his shoes. “Looks good on you, though! I’ll just go back and think of
a n for you. What are you panicking for?”
After saying that, she dashed away.
It was fortunate that the spell died down after thirty minutes. The blood lotus flower behind him faded
away as well. Although the blood lotus made him worried and annoyed, he was still satisfied with the
oue of this battle. It was unfortunate that some of their old friends had self-destructed during the
process.
The Flying Eagles had the most casualties from this. Both Butcher and Bunty sacrificed themselves,
whereas Jade’s condition was still unknown. Moreover, another hundred thirty warriors whom Astor had
never paid much attention to experience the end of their lives right here.

The League of Cultivators had to deal with quite a few deaths too. Astor’s mother-inw, Metzli, had
her arm cut off by one of the Dark Pixies as well. She was lucky to have received healing aid in time, or
else she would’ve be one of the victims as well.

On the other hand, the rest of the surviving Undead immediately fled the scene.
Even animals would choose to escape, especially experiencing the mental shock of witnessing such
gruesome and terrifying deaths. Hence, this was a normal reactioning from the Undead, who were
just as intelligent as humans.
Agatha approached and asked, “How far are we from the location you sensed that the White Bone
Scepter was at?”
Astor used his secret spell to sense the area again, putting up a relieved smile. “It’s not far, it should be
just upfront!”

Since time would never wait on anyone, Astor and the team immediately rushed over to prevent any
obstacles from popping up. The old man within the Martello Celia used his powers to carry Jade as
well, walking side by side with Barne.

They noticed a gigantic block of white appear before their eyes in just a few moments. Upon closer
look, they realized that it was the White Bone City.
The city walls and gates, along with the tall buildings, were all made from bones. There were lots of
human bones and quite a fewrge beast bones too. From this distance, they could see figures moving
within the city.
Astor pointed towards the highest tower and said, “The scepter is likely in that tower!”

Gilbert spoke up. “We have so many people here, and the target is too big. It’s unrealistic to try and
force our way in. The best way to handle this is to sneak in and steal the scepter.”
Martiny said, “Astor’s swallowing had caused too muchmotion just now. The people in the city
must be prepared to face us. I think it’d be very difficult to sneak in.”

Agatha chimed in too. “We only have one way to go forth with this then. We have to split into two
groups. One will stay here to distract the Undead, while a group of experts escorted Astor up there
while providing him protection.”

Astor said, “Why don’t I try using the Great Swallow Spell again? I could try swallowing all the Undeads
within the White Bone City.”

Phoenix shook her head. “Do you think you’re some swallow monster? I can tell that the blood lotus is
malicious and evil. If you were to swallow them, we might have to face you instead.”
After a short pause, she continued. “My body is in a very particr condition, so I will escort you up the
tower. Everyone else, stay here and distract the enemies.”
