Chapter 1703
"No need to say more. Arrange a time. I''ll be there to meet her." Mckenzie was straightforward.
Charlie''s thick brows furrowed. He was a little anxious, "Mom, please hear me out first!”
"There''s nothing to talk about. I know what you want to say! There''s no need to tell me!"
Charlie didn''t want to annoy his mother again. He collected his thoughts. He stood there quietly staring at his mother, and finally, he just said, "Mom, I
really don’t want to live my life like this anymore. I feel so depressed, so tired."
Mckenzie nced at him. She didn''t say anything but turned around and went upstairs. Charlie then made an appointment with Grace. The three
would meet in a private room at the hotel.
Finally, the three meet. But Mckenzie wanted to talk to Grace in private. Charlie''s eyebrows furrowed, and he stood there still.
"I want to talk to Grace alone. Give us a moment. If you don’t allow it, I don''t think we need to talk anymore.”
Grace and Mckenzie sat across from each other. They both ordered lemonade. Grace didn''t say anything, and Mckenzie initiated the conversation.
know we both have problems with each other, but right now, we need to talk.”
Grace nodded her head.
I''ve never liked you. Your attitude, your personality, and the way you do things just don’t sit well with me. In a word, you''re not qualified to be
Charlie''s wife." Mckenzie looked at Grace and continued, "But Charlie loves you, and you''re Eaton’s mother. I have to make somepromises."
Grace waited patiently for Mckenzie''s next speech.
"If you and Charlie got back together, then during the seven days in a week, you guys can live in your apartment for four days, but you have to stay at
our family house for three days. You can have your career, and I have no objection to that. What do you think?”
Immediately, Grace was amazed. She hadn''t expected Mckenzie to say something like that.
"I''ll make other arrangements for the restaurant. How about that?"
"Why would you make such a decision?"
"That''s my decision. You don''t need to know the reason. From now on, we have to do our best to understand each other. It''s best if we can eliminate
our disputes. But if they really can''t be eliminated, we''d better calm down and work things out.”
Mckenzie felt that since she and Grace had issues with each other and Charlie was insistent on being with Grace, they needed to change the way
they got along.
Mckenzie saw clearly how much Charlie loved Grace. Although she felt upset with Charlie, he was after all her son, and there was Eaton, his
grandson!
Grace responded, indicating that she was OK with that. "Although I don''t know for what reasons you made such a concession, I am not an
unreasonable woman. I know my position. I will take my part.”
Now that Mckenzie had made such a concession, Grace showed her courtesy.
Mckenzie nodded her head, and then she got up. It was the first time the two of them had worked out a problem so peacefully.
Charlie walked in. The two had finished their talk.
Charlie was anxious. He didn''t know what they had talked about.
"Don''t be anxious like an ant on a hot stove. We''ve made a deal. Are you going hame with me or are you staying?"
Charlie looked at Grace and saw that she looked peaceful and not angry, so he was relieved. He said. "I''ll send you home first. mam. Then I''lle
back to pick up Grace."
Grace didn’t say a word. She nced across Charlie, and then her eyes fell on Mckenzie, and she said quietly, "Take care. See youter."
Mckenzie nodded her head and walked ahead. Charlie was standing behind his mother. He clearly sensed a change in the atmosphere between the
two women, and he was surprised
When he looked at Grace, he smiled like a fool. He opened his mouth and said to Grace with his lips, making no sound, “Wait for me! I''ll be right
back!"
He couldn''t wait to find out what they had talked about, and he desperately wanted to hug her!Exclusive content from N?velDrama.Org.

His eyes were so eager as if the mes in there were about to burn everything.
Grace saw that clearly. She curled up the corners of her mouth slightly, in an unnoticeable way.

People always had to experience something, and then they would grow up
In the car, Charlie was driving, and Mckenzie was looking out the window.
Soon they arrived at the Morgan family''s vi. Mckenzie got out of the car and asked, "Aren''t youing home?"
"I''m going to pick up Grace,” Charlie replied
“You''ve learned something. Instead of leaving me alone in a cab, you sent me home first and go to pick her up afterward.” Mckenzie said.
Charlie felt embarrassed, "I''ll be more thoughtful in the future.”
"Go ahead. Drive safely.” Mckenzie didn''t say anything more. She turned around and walked into the house.
