Chapter 1140
Kingsley''s niece thought that Kingsley treated Sherman differently. He had never treated Merlin like
that. Although he smiled at Merlin, he was somewhat aloof towards her.
Sherman returned to the room and went to take a shower. Kingsley was worried about her, so he
followed her to the bathroom to help her.
Sherman had refused many times, but Kingsley was insistent. He was afraid that she would fall
over.
He was considerate towards her. He took everything into ount for her even though she hadn''t
thought so much. He was reluctant to see her feel ufortable. She had no appetite after she
was pregnant. He frowned and felt annoyed for that. He was worried about her and thus stayed by
her side all the time.
Sherman put on pajamas after she had a shower. Kingsley stayed in the bathroom and had taken
off his suits.
He nned to take a cold shower.
It was dark outside. The white gauzes fluttered slightly. Sherman and Kingsley were sleeping
soundly. They were a perfect match.
Suddenly, Sherman sat up and stroked her hair with her hands.
As time went by, her belly became bigger and Kingsley woke up more easily. As long as she moved
slightly, he would notice.
He turned on the lights, narrowed his eyes and sat up. The silk pajamas fell from his body and
revealed his strong chest. He asked, "What''s the matter?"
Sherman bit her lip and kept silent.
Kingsley was shocked and asked, "What''s the matter? Are you having a bellyache? Or something
else? Honey, tell me. Speak slowly."
She shook her head, "I want to eat pancakes. I''m so longing for them that I even can''t fall asleep."
Kingsley smiled. He pulled a wry face but said gently, "OK. I will buy pancakes for you. Wait for me
on the bed."
Sherman looked at the watch and said, "It''s 2 a m. Where can you buy pancakes?
Forget it."
However, he took his coat and suits and put on them quickly. He said as he smoothed the cor, "I’ll
be right back."
Sherman said, "Forget it. It''ste. There is n o need for you to do that."
Kingsley smiled gently. He tucked her in, took the keys from the dresser and kissed her. He said,
"It''s rare for you to have an appetite. I will buy them for you..."
He drove to look for pancakes in Lanechett at 2 a m.
It was difficult for him to look for the pancakes. All the supermarkets had been closed.
He was reluctant to drive back, but all the stores had been closed. He had no other choice but to
call his friends who were in Lanechett one by one.
He made calls to many friends. Only then did one of his friends say that he had.
Kingsley got his car started immediately.
At 3 a m., Kingsley disturbed his friends for pancakes. The friend teased him. Kingsley smiled
brightly, "My wife wants to eat..."
The friend said with a smile, "Pregnant women will be like that. Sometimes they will want to eat
something eagerly."
Kingsley smiled and thank his friend. Then he left with the pancakes.
Luckily, his friend had fresh pancakes.
Sherman felt dozy and couldn’t keep awake. She looked at the watch. It was 3 a m., but Kingsley
hadn''te back.

It was difficult for him to look for the pancakes early in the morning. The stores and supermarkets all
had been closed.
Where could he get pancakes?
She frowned, took out her phone and wanted to call him.
As soon as she held the phone and was about to call him, the room door was pushed open
suddenly. Kingsley walked in. He hadn''t changed his shoes or taken off his coat yet. He walked
towards the bed, sat down, unwrapped the exquisite packing and handed her a piece of pancake.
He said, "Here are you..."
Sherman blinked her eyes in surprise. She asked, "It''s early in the morning. Where do you get
them?"
She didn''t expect him to get them!
He said, "I call one of my friends. Luckily, h e has pancakes." Then he took off his coat, hung it on
and walked out. When he returned, there was a ss of warm water i n his hands. He handed it to
her and said," Drink some water in case you will choke..."
She nodded and took the ss of water
from his hands. The temperature of the water was proper. She drank the water as she ate the
pancake happily.
Kingsley sat beside her and saw the scene. He felt extremely satisfied. He had never had such a
feeling before.
Sherman thought that she hadn’t eaten such delicious food for a long time. She ate two pieces of
pancakes in a row.
She was a little anxious. There were some crumbs left on her lips. He smiled, held her face and
wiped her lips with his fingers gently.
She was touched by his gentle moves. She looked up and met his gaze. His gaze was deep, gentle
and affectionate.
It was as deep as the sea that she couldn’t see the bottom. It was choppy and filled with gentleness.
She felt she was being
dragged into a whirlpool of emotion, and she couldn''t get rid of it. He was sparkling i n her eyes.
