    With that, he began pushing the wheelchair out, while Thssa cast onest look at Susan before turning to follow Lysander.


    Lysander and Thssa were the first to exit the private room, followed by Payne, David, and a few bodyguards, leaving Susan alone inside. The bodyguards left Susan to her own devices, and without their support, she copsed onto the couch, her neck hitting the backrest. The pain brought tears to her eyes. She propped herself up with her hands, struggling to sit upright.


    Watching Thssa and the others leave, she felt trapped. Her neck was so badly hurt that moving it seemed impossible. Standing was a challenge, let alone walking. Any vibration from walking felt like it could shatter her spine. She doubted she could even make it out of the bar alive.
