Chapter 1799
Even if Thssa''s ideas might align with others at times, the chances of her and Lysander having the same brainwave, and with the same person no less, were next to impossible. The fact that another designer''s work showcased both her and Lysander''s unique ideas could only mean one thing: someone had ripped off her creation!Exclusive content ? by N?(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
What she hadn''t expected was for the culprit to be someone she held in high regard, Zoey.
But Thssa was always one to separate personal feelings from professional ethics. Gratitude is one thing, but if Zoey really did giarize her work, she wouldn''t just let it slide! Zoey had been in the design world long enough to know the cardinal sin of copying someone else''s work, and the consequences that came with it.
When Zoey looked up, locking eyes with Thssa, there was no evasion, no guilt, but rather a hint of defiance. Thssa felt a sinking feeling, ufortable, but she didn''t voice it out. She diverted her gaze, knowing that arguing now wouldn''t change anything. It was best to wait for the investigation results.
Two groups were on the case: one led by Wyatt, and the other by David. Thssa and Lysander spent about half an hour backstage, waiting, until Wyatt''s team arrived with several staff members in tow.
The head of the investigation team reported to Wyatt, "All designs submitted were under strict confidentiality. The staff didn''t tamper with them. However, there was a mishap when submitting the designs yesterday."
"What kind of mishap? Exin," Wyatt urged, his nerves on edge.
"One of the staff identally knocked over Zoey''s design box, revealing its contents. Ms. Everhart was there to submit her own work. She could''ve left right after but chose to sit at the front desk, bombarding the staff with questions. It wasn''t until after Zoey''s designs were reboxed and secured that she left."
"Oh?" Wyatt''s voice trailed, filled with suspicion as he nced at Thssa.
The staff member continued, "During that time, Ms. Everhart would have seen Zoey''s designs."
The implication was clear.
Wyatt chuckled and turned to Thssa, probing, "Ms. Everhart, do you have an exnation? You saw Zoey''s designs yesterday, didn''t you?"
Thssa frowned, "I sat down to ask about the security of the submissions, worried about a repeat of the preliminary round debacle!"
"Did you see a staff member knock over a design box?" Wyatt pressed.
e
"Yes, I saw a staff member fumble and knock it over, but I didn''t pay attention to the design itself. I didn''t see what was in that box!" Thssa''s response was genuine.
"If you had left right after submitting your work, you might have imed ignorance. But you stayed, sitting not far from where the staff was picking up the designs, bombarding another staff member with questions. Wasn''t that to get a

closer look at the spilled designs?" Wyatt''s gaze was scrutinizing, almost usatory.
Thssa grew frustrated, "I''ve told you, I was only inquiring about the integrity of the submission process, fearing a repeat of the earlier mix-up. I didn''t pay any mind to the spilled designs!"
"Do you have proof? Can anyone corroborate that you didn''t see?" Wyatt countered.
