Chapter 1742
Three dayster, Thssa was almost back to her old self.
ric was busy packing her suitcase while Hertha folded her clothes, feeling sorry for Thssa with every piece sheid down.
"Thssa, you''ve been in the hospital for two days, and aside from me and ric looking after you, not a single soul hase to visit. Howe you''re so alone?" Hertha spoke the harsh truth. Thssa was all by herself, without a single person to care for her. It was just too lonely.
"Actually, my aunt called yesterday. I told her I was doing fine, just so she wouldn''t worry. If she knew I was in the hospital, she''d definitelye to visit," Thssa said with a smile, trying tofort Hertha. That smile was her way of saying she wasn''tpletely alone; she cared more about not worrying those who cared about her.
"Your aunt''s arthritis is being treated by Dr. Funke. They''ve really hit it off, which is great. She definitely shouldn''t be worried," Hertha nodded, understanding.
"So, see? I''m not alone. Don''t worry about me," Thssa said, patting Hertha on the shoulder, forting her instead.
"How could I not worry about you? I''m your best friend. And what about Lysander? Doesn''t he know you''re hurt and in the hospital? Even if you can''t be together, you can still be friends, right? Not even a call or a visit!" Hertha''s real grievance, it seemed, was with Lysander.
She was full ofints about Lysander. When Thssa was hurt in the past, he was the first to fret over her, even getting himself badly injured in an attempt to save her.
Times change, and so do people.
Now Thssa was hurt, and Lysander seemed not to care at all.
"Actually, Lysander dide," ric interjected, dragging the suitcase, responding to Hertha''sints.
"What? He did? When?" Hertha asked, surprised and eager.
Thssa looked up, her eyes also filled with a mix of confusion and hope.
"It was when Thssa was in the emergency room. I called Lysander, and he rushed over. After the doctor said Thssa would be fine, he left," ric revealed to both Thssa and Hertha.
Hearing this, Thssa''s gaze fell, hiding the emotions swirling in her eyes.
Hertha, fuming, blurted out, "What a jerk! Hees to the hospital and doesn''t even stop by to see her? What''s he ying at!"
Hertha was about to continue her rant against Lysander when ric gave her a look, urging caution. She paused, looking at Thssa, whose eyes were downcast, her long eyshes veiling her expression,
clearly hiding her sadness. Content

Walking down the corridor, they suddenly saw doctors and nurses rushing towards another room.
In hospitals, a running medical team usually meant a life-or-death situation was unfolding.
The room the team rushed into was
