Chapter 1723
"If you spill the beans about who''s pulling the strings, you could get off with a p on the wrist,"
Thssa said. "But if you keep ying tough, you''ll be carrying the can alone!"
"How could you possibly have produced an identical set of stic items so quickly after only seeing
my design while getting your makeup done? Who gave you that box of stic items?" Thssa
asked sternly.
She hade to the police station to get to the bottom of this.
Susan didn''t immediately respond to Thssa, her gaze involuntarily shifting to Callum standing
behind her.
"Come clean, and we might just let you off the hook!" Callum threatened.
Hearing Callum''s words, Susan''s eyes widened with fear.
She looked back at Thssa, biting the bullet, "No one''s behind this! I saw your design while at the
audition for the event organizers. You didn''t see me, but I saw you. I sneakily took a photo of your
work and had someone create an identical set of stic items."
"I''ve had it with you, wanted you to crash and burn!" Susan spat venomously at Thssa.
Seeing Susan''s fierce demeanor, Thssa realized she was dealing with someone who had lost all
reason, no longer a sane person.
"So, it was your idea to model for my design?" Thssa asked coldly.
"Yes!" Susan confessed without hesitation, ring at Thssa, her chest heaving with rage.
Thssa scoffed, "Don''t worry, I''ll see this through to the end. Since you''re taking full responsibility,
then you''ll bear all the consequences!"
With that, Thssa turned and walked away.
Callum followed her.
Behind them, Susan screamed hysterically, "Thssa, you bitch, why does all the good fortune
gravitate towards you? Why does everyone love you? I was raised to be superior, my status far
above yours. How is it that a nobody from the sticks ends up thriving while I end up behind bars!"
Susan continued her tirade, but Thssa couldn''t hear her anymore; she had quickened her pace,
eager to leave the police station and Susan''s voice behind.
Susan still couldn''t see where she went wrong. Her downfall was entirely of her own making.
She spent all her energy on bringing others down instead of elevating herself, which was a recipe
for disaster.
The chill of thete autumn night was biting.
Thssa rubbed her face with her hands, trying to stay warm.
Turning around, she saw Callum halt and, noticing her cheeks flushed from the cold, he quickly took
off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, "It''s getting really cold out here. Don''t catch a chill."
As he was about to put the coat on her, Thssa stepped back, leaving Callum holding the coat
mid-air, unsure whether to move forward or retreat.
"Mr. Gordon, thank you for apanying me to the station to uncover the truth. I''ll take a cab
home; you should head back too," she hurriedly said before walking towards the curb.N?velDrama.Org ? content.
"Thssa, be my girlfriend! Lysander and Rosalind are tying the knot, what are you waiting for?"
Callum''s unexpected proposal stopped her in her tracks.
