    Chapter 1661

Rosalind shot her a look but didn''t say anything, just turned and walked away.

Thssa went back inside, changed into her formal attire, and drove off.

At the hospital entrance, Rosalind was waiting for her.

As Thssa walked by, Rosalind''s voice was cool, "Just a heads-up, Dad''s really fragile right now.

The doctor said the car crash hit him hard, and he needs proper rest. Getting upset could really do

a number on him. You better not rile him up!"

Thssa paused for a moment but didn''t turn back, heading straight into the hospital.

She made her way to the surgical ward and upon reaching the room door, saw Matilda gently

    feeding Joshua some porridge.

It was clear from the way Matilda looked at Joshua, full of tenderness, and how carefully she fed

him, that she genuinely loved him.

Joshua had just taken a spoonful of the in porridge when he spotted Thssa at the door. He

quickly swallowed and said, "Thssa,e in, please."

Thssa''s gaze lowered before she walked in, cing the fruit she’d brought on the bedside table

and casually asked, "How are you feeling?"

Joshua, visibly moved by her concern, nodded and said, "Much better, you see, I''m getting

    stronger."

Matilda shot Thssa a re, her dislike in as day.

Then she scooped another spoonful of porridge, bringing it to Joshua''s lips, "Come on, eat up

    before it gets cold."

Joshua waved her off, "No more, you can take it away."

His intention was clear: he wanted Matilda out of the room.

Matilda wasn''t fooled. She could tell what Joshua was hinting at. Swallowing her frustration, she

stood up and left the room.

"Thssa, take a seat, don''t just stand there," Joshua said, gesturing to a chair by the bed as he

    propped himself up.

Thssa didn''t hesitate and sat down, taking a moment to really look at Joshua. He was in a blue

and white striped hospital gown, an oxygen tube under his nose, his lips pale, and hisplexion

    worse for wear.

Though his life was no longer in danger, he looked much worse than before.

"You need to rest more, don''t overdo it," Thssa said with a concern she found surprising.

She had always thought she had no special feelings for Joshua, her father, but knowing he was in a

life-or-death situation had her heart pounding with worry.

Seeing him so weak now tightened something in her chest.

She couldn''t help but worry about him.

Joshua''s lips twitched into a grateful smile, "Your words mean more to me than a couple of days in

    the hospital."

"This ident wasn''t just any ident; all the necessary responsibilities have been dealt with. The

at-fault party has paid up and faced detention. This incident is closed, but it''s had a profound impact

    on me," Joshua sighed.

Thssa realized he was getting to the point and listened intently.

"We only have this one short life, time flies. When you think you''re still young, you''re actually not.

Time waits for no one. We must do what we need to do while we still can, leave no room for

regrets," Joshua said, his voicecking its usual strength.

"What is it you want to do?" Thssa asked him.
