Chapter 1463
Behind Zephyr trailed a cadre of burly bodyguards, cloaked in ck, sending a shiver of intimidation
through Thssa''s heart.
"Thssa, who gave you permission to bring some quack doctor to treat Lysander?" Zephyr
thundered, his voice heavy with fury.
His gaze was stern, shooting daggers at Dr. Funke.
Thssa''s heart skipped a beat, worried that Dr. Funke would take offense and refuse to treat
Lysander. But to her relief, Dr. Funke remained stoic, seriously examining Lysander''s pulse,
seemingly unaffected by Zephyr''s imposing presence.
Thssa quickly stepped forward, blocking Zephyr''s path to prevent him from getting close to Dr.
Funke, her words tumbling out in a frantic plea, "Zephyr, Dr. Funke isn''t some quack doctor. He''s a
renowned doctor with a holistic approach. He''s brought countless patients out ofas. I thought
that if Dr. Funke treated Lysander, he might wake up soon..."
Zephyr''s piercing gaze turned icy as he retorted, "Are you saying the doctors the Sinir family has
consulted are inferior to this man you''ve brought? This Dr. Funke, this so-called renowned doctor, is
nothing but a half-baked medic! What can he possibly cure? Step aside. No one makes decisions
about Lysander''s care without my consent," Zephyr demanded unequivocally.
After hismand, he signaled to one of the bodyguards, who promptly stepped forward and pulled
Thssa away.
Outnumbered, Thssa tried to stand her ground, to protect Dr. Funke from any disruption, but she
was no match for the towering bodyguard and was forcibly separated.
As Zephyr approached Dr. Funke, ready to physically remove him, the doctor released Lysander''s
wrist.
Rising, Dr. Funke was neither embarrassed nor fearful; instead, he addressed Zephyr with calm
authority, "The problem is simple: the stagnated blood is pressing on nerves. Years of this
unrelieved pressure is why he''s remained unconscious."
"We''ve heard that diagnosis before. What good does it do? Without a treatment, it''s all empty talk!"
Zephyr scoffed dismissively.
Throughout these three years, Zephyr had sought out numerous esteemed doctors from all over the
world. They could all diagnose the cause of Lysander''sa, yet none could cure him.
Zephyr was familiar with Dr. Funke''s reputation. Though he had some recognition in the medical
community, his entric nature and capricious willingness to treat patients based on some
nebulous notion of ''fate'' made Zephyr skeptical.
Many had sought Dr. Funke''s help only to be turned away. To Zephyr, such behavior was a
chatan''s theatrics, cking any substantial medical prowess.
After all, why would a true healer choose fate over fees when deciding whom to treat?
To Zephyr, a doctor who didn''t prioritize patients above all else was no true healer, and thus he had
never considered soliciting Dr. Funke''s services, let alone trust him.
"Zephyr..." Thssa began, but before she could finish her plea, Dr. Funke spoke with a serene
assertiveness that cut through the tension.

"Treating the symptoms of blood stagnation is quite manageable. With cooperation from the patient
and family, I can disperse the blood clots in his brain within two weeks. Subsequently, with a
progressive rehabilitation n, Lysander could be awake within two months."
Hope flickered in Thssa''s heart upon hearing Dr. Funke''s words. No doctor before had dared to
guarantee a cure for Lysander, let alone provide a timeline for his awakening.
Dr. Funke''s confidence suggested he had full faith in his abilities, and for the first time in a long
while, Thssa dared to believe in a miracle.
