Chapter 1253
Thssa''s hands worked the controls of the prop, a vintage chandelier, with a nervous twitch. She was
taking care of the setup while Susan was adjusting the rigging.
As Susan let go, she gave the chandelier an extra push, causing it to swing dangerously.
Just then, Lysander entered the studio.
The timing couldn''t have been worse. The chandelier was swinging higher and higher, and the hook
hadn''t been secured properly. In a split second, the prop flew off its mooring, hurtling straight towards
Lysander.
His icy gaze snapped towards the iing danger.
It was about to crash down on him when Susan cried out, "Mr. Sinir, watch out!" In a swift move, she
lunged forward, pushing Lysander out of the way. The chandelier crashed down onto her instead, the
sharp pain of impact forcing a muffled groan from her lips as it struck her shoulder de.
The prop bounced off Susan and ttered to the ground.
Grimacing in pain, Susan managed to lift her eyes to Lysander. "Mr. Sinir, are you alright?" she
asked, her voice strained.
Lysander''s piercing eyes locked onto her. "What happened?" he demanded, his voice a deep,
controlled rumble.
The rest of the crew realized something had gone wrong, and that it involved Lysander. They dropped
their tasks and hurried over, their faces filled with concern, asking if he was hurt.
Zane, the assistant director, went pale with fright and began to loudly demand ountability. "Who was
in charge of the chandelier? Step forward!"
Hearing themotion from behind the scenes, Thssa quickly stepped out to see what was
happening. As she emerged, she saw Lysander standing in the midst of the crowd, an imposing figure
with a stern face and an untouchable aura.
In front of him stood Susan, slightly hunched over, her shoulder seeping blood that stained her shirt
and dripped to the floor, her expression twisted in pain.
"Ms. Everhart, were you operating the chandelier? Do you realize how dangerous this was? You could
have hit Mr. Sinir! Thankfully, Susan pushed him out of the way and took the hit herself. If that prop
had hit Mr. Sinir''s head, we could have been looking at a fatality!" Zane scolded her, his words a mix
of reprimand and a way to deflect me from himself.
Thssa caught on to what had happened from Zane''s tirade. She looked at Lysander innocently,
about to exin that it wasn''t her fault.
Susan spoke up despite her pain, saying, "Mr. Sinir, the chandelier is usually quite safe when
operated correctly. Perhaps Thssa wasn''t familiar with it, which led to the ident. Please don''t
me her."

"Mr. Sinir, that''s not true. I was operating it just fine backstage. It''s the prop that malfunctioned,"
Thssa interjected, stepping forward to rify.
"I''ll check it right now," Zane volunteered.
He returned to Lysander''s side and reported, "Mr. Sinir, the prop is intact. There''s nothing wrong with
it. It was indeed a mishandling of the chandelier that caused the ident." Reаd at Dramanovеls
Thssa''s heart skipped a beat at his words. He suspected her!
