Chapter 1130
Just as Thssa was worrying about Elowen, bracing herself for the chance that Lysander would
decline Elowen''s offer and leave her crestfallen, she witnessed something that left her gobsmacked.
There she was, pondering how to gracefully defuse the awkwardness that had settled between them
like an uninvited guest, when Lysander bowed his head, opened his mouth, and ate the spoonful of
food Elowen had offered.
Thssa was even more astonished than before. Lysander, the epitome of cleanliness, possibly
bordering on germophobic, had just eaten food that could well have been graced by Elowen''s saliva
or... worse?
She found it more surprising than if the sun had decided to rise from the West.
Elowen''sughter rang out, clear and bell-like. Her voice, tender and sticky-sweet, questioned, "Daddy,
isn''t it yummy? They added egg yolk, some cheese, and bits of bacon in it."
A connoisseur of fine dining in her own right, Elowen could decipher every ingredient with just one
taste.
Lysander had never been one for sweets; the vor in his mouth was a bit off to him, but seeing

Elowen''s joyous, adorable demeanor, he responded with a muted tone, "Mmm, delicious."
Hearing this, Elowen giggled behind her hands. Her eyes were crinkling into lines, her dimples
deepening on her cheeks – an embodiment of exuberant cuteness.
Thssa, watching from the sidelines, was infected by Elowen''s happiness. Her heart also turned into
a fluffy cloud of contentment. Elowen''s exuberant cuteness was practically melting her heart.
While Thssa was still beaming, Lysander suddenly lifted Elowen; he took her seat and settled her on
hisp.
And so, Thssa found herself sitting beside him.
"Wow, sitting on Daddy''sp for snack time is the best." It was Elowen''s first time enjoying the privilege
of sitting on Lysander''sp for a meal, and she was both surprised and thrilled.
Of all four kids, Elowen was the most affectionate. Now that she was cradled by Lysander and sitting at
the edge of the dining table, the other three kids were envious but didn''t speak up orpete for the
spot.
Thssa couldn''t help but wonder why Lysander had suddenly hoisted Elowen onto hisp.
Then she saw him bring over a bowl of soup and ce it in front of her, his voice deep and resonant as
he said, "Eat up."
Was he really offering her such special service?
Taken aback yet touched, Thssa quickly responded, "Sure, you too."
After a polite hesitation, she picked up the spoon and started eating. The creamy sweetness spread
from her taste buds, gliding down her throat, soothing her from the inside out.
...
The next day, Thssa overslept. By the time she woke up, Lysander had already gone to the office,
and the kids were at school.
After breakfast, she asked Fitch to drive her out of Royal Estates and dropped her at the bus stop
where she caught a bus to work.
As she boarded, the bus was full with no seats avable. A high school boy offered her his seat.
Thssa declined out of politeness, but the boy insisted, and given her pregnancy, she didn''t refuse
further and took a seat.
The bus journey was smooth.
"Leopold Sinir is dead, and here you are, going about your days cheerfully and acting like nothing
happened. How do you manage to do it?"
A woman''s voice, filled with suppressed pain and anger, came from the seat next to Thssa.
The name Leopold was like an electric shock to Thssa''s system. She turned sharply and her eyes
met those of the woman beside her. Under a ck baseball cap, her long hair was pulled into a
ponytail that slipped through the back.
Her gaze, fierce and full of malice, bore into Thssa.
It was Debby!
She hadn''t driven herself; she had taken the bus, presumably to confront her?
Facing the strong hatred in Debby''s eyes, Thssa''s breathing grew heavier, "No one wanted this to
happen."
